Certainly, Petrucci is a very technical guitarist, but Steve Lukather is a GUITARIST. Lukather is someone who can transition from hard rock to pop, from blues to jazz, always giving the impression that he has played only that genre. He is versatile and has an incredible musical knowledge. This does not mean that Petrucci should be dismissed, but these are two guitarists who operate on completely different levels.
