I don't agree... I think the album deserves more... just a point more, that's it... 3/5... you seemed too harsh. I also see other influences, like Black Flag and Nirvana. Other bits of history for those present: Nick Oliveri was the bassist for Kyuss on Wretch and Blues for the Red Sun, their first two albums. In track number 7, the long Simple Exploding Man, you can actually hear all four Kyuss members from the first two albums... John Garcia does the backing vocals. The album was released in two versions with two different bonus tracks: the European version features a shorter and differently played version of Simple Exploding Man, while the American version includes Another Tension Head, a track that is also on Rated R, the second album by QOTSA.

AA.VV. Flippaut Festival Bologna, Live! 1 e 2 giugno 2003

Here I am again after a long time, hoping to find the review of FLIPPAUT and indeed, I was not disappointed. What disappoints me is the fact that there’s no mention of the legendary Turbonegro, definitely the best concert I saw on Monday! Powerful, ultra-compact, and above all, fun! As the great JK rightly reported, our guys won over the Bologna audience. The Queens of the Stone Age on the right side of the stage shaking their heads while the crowd sang along with them during the finale "I Got Erection," where on one side were the “ooooooh oooooooh oooooooh” and on the other, the “I got erection” with the good Hans (singer) directing... or in the triumph of "Prince of the Rodeo" with Pal Pot Pamparius (guitar and keyboards) shouldering Euroboy (lead guitar) for the solo and after lowering him, launching himself on the keyboards to ride them (fuckin rock'n'roll). It’s worth noting that despite the crazy heat, some of them endured the entire hour of the concert in their nice denim jackets... amazing. RATING 5/5

I have the photos of vv, she’s a beautiful girl... I’ll send them to you shortly so you can add them to the reviewers’ profile. For the review, we’ll have to wait a little longer; I have 3 great albums to tell you about, namely: Cave In, Ulan Bator, and Hellacopters.
