CCCP - Fedeli alla linea 1964-1985. Affinità-divergenze fra il compagno Togliatti e noi...

Holy Inquisition, you are truly unique, you really have a great culture, and I find myself respecting you. I would love to discuss theologically with you one of these days... it wouldn't be bad to compare my "neither for faith nor for God" theophysicism and your ancient Catholicism. I agree with you, everything has become an instrument of power, music included, but after all, what else can we do in the absence of it??

...damn... I respect your opinion, but in my view, Gruff has created some really beautiful instrumental pieces, and sometimes with an Eastern touch, and so do the Alien Army, which often convey a lot of esotericism, that's why I love them just like I love G.L. Ferretti. I adore gothic, theophysic, and esoteric culture, and that's why I am passionate about vampirology and angelology. I love the studies on the medieval period and the historical significance of the Gothic invasions, and I'm fascinated by the mysteries of the Far East, the Sanskrit Devas, Burma, and India. As much as I am a minimalist and love pure Italian hip hop, I absolutely cannot ignore the allure of everything mystical and esoteric. Just like the many allusions and meanings that Giovanni Lindo Ferretti gives to his lyrics. Come on, wouldn’t you hire him to interpret Murnau's Nosferatu? (And Zamboni as Renfield, what do you think?) Come on, it’s all a substitute for great musical choices, a fantastic way to express oneself and... enough, I’m going to review Linea Gotica.

It’s not leftist that of G.L. Ferretti; it’s intellectual esotericism and outsider. Personally, this charismatic figure and all his developments deserve the utmost respect from me.

The beauty of this group and its evolutions, CSI and PGR, lies in their ability to mix different genres, which, in my opinion, transcends political labels or apparent politicization... from the Soviet punk of the CCCP, which also evolved within the same group into a kind of melodic alternative sound, gifting us gems like "Madre" and "Amandoti," which can also be interpreted as a sort of industrialization of classic funk. It's no coincidence that MCR, in their latest album, Appunti Partigiani, included "Spara Jurij" by CCCP, who, in my view, were often promoters of Italian combat folk as well. Having become the CSI, they allowed listeners to discover Gothic rock in Italian, culminating in ethnic-Gothic-industrial-punk, which encapsulates everything that CCCP and CSI represented, leading us to the PGR. Personally, I think that politics is just a label in this case, as liturgical songs are also sung, and the CCCP, like CSI and PGR, introduce us to a gothic and unique world, Eastern-tinged and almost druidic, among distant empires, ancient European tales, popular music, Romani sounds, Eastern European, Central European, and sometimes even Spanish influences, medieval. It feels like stepping into a chivalric and enchanted realm where we are driven by Don Quixote and the dreams he narrated. These groups have been and are pure innovation, which I believe is fundamental in shaping a profound Italian musical culture. G.L. Ferretti allows you to dream and accompany him in his worlds... truly splendid...

Negrita L'uomo sogna di volare

I never liked Negrita, basically for everything the review said about the band's beginnings: britsoftrock.
And they can't even do world music. "Rotolando verso sud" is horrifying.
"annegando verso sud," is a song by I can't remember who, mocking this social-themed one, where a raft of Albanians has to dock in Taormina, and they all drown, a great condemning song against smugglers and raising awareness about immigration.
It was never released.
A band that is a friend of mine made it.
