It was well received by critics, but I really didn’t like this album at all. I even preferred I'm with you.

Great!

The listening continues and the enjoyment increases. It takes a large mind to absorb this gigantic music. The "small" listener doesn’t "see" it as a whole and doesn’t understand.

When I was a kid, an animator handed me this record (along with others by Death), but it was too early for me; I couldn't get past those acid gargles. Then, ten years later, I fell madly in love with this monster with a fragile heart, just like that, suddenly, during a summer storm. I listened to "Scavenger of Human Sorrow" nonstop, then gradually everything else. Almost another ten years have passed, and my love for these songs remains unchanged, it grows, it ages, and it becomes more refined. I no longer hear the bestial voice; the wall of piercing sounds no longer disturbs me: I read the philosophy within, the melancholy and the rage, and at the same time, I admire its perfect aesthetic vision, the "mathematical" brilliance of the music. The further you delve into their discography, the more it seems that the "infernal" vision comes from a peaceful, distant perspective; like an old sage recounting the harshness of life but no longer troubled by it—too high up now. A poet with a witch's voice and a clattering guitar.

I'm listening to it. So far, the reviews seem a bit lenient to me, but maybe it's just a matter of time. I'll check back soon to share my thoughts.

hahaha I laughed out loud at the thieves breaking into the community. But criticizing "work" recordings doesn't seem sensible to me. Saying it's marketing then seems ridiculous ;)

Bought in the past few days, it seems very beautiful to me and Light Years is an instant classic. Great choice to introduce female vocals after the gloomy album of 2017.
