I just tried the sequel and it's definitely good, from what I read it might even be a bit better than the original... it's a rare genre, personally I was stuck on Outlaws by LucasArts.

hmmm, the first level seems to be a nice mix of Remorse and Master of Puppets... the fourth stage seems to be based on Rise by Pantera, though I can't say much more than that at the moment. Even those that are not "inspired" are fantastic.

Ah, Lady Gaga doesn't give a damn that it's from teenagers. The fact is it's crap. And whoever gives 4 stars to that stuff should shut up with their shitty tastes.

but yosif, how pathetic are you? Yes, I went to see Tiesto live, just like I’ve seen Armin, Alex Morph, Ferry Corsten, A&B, Markus Schulz, Simon Patterson, Sander Van Doorn, and another 100 DJs you don’t know and will never know... I’ve seen the energy, the sensation white, what the hell have you seen? You’re one to write a bunch of bullshit, but given the crap you listen to and that you rate so highly, you’re in no position to come here and criticize ACDC and those who listen to them, because they’re certainly better off than you.

I played RTCW upon its release 8-9 years ago... good singleplayer and great graphics for the time (Q3 engine pushed to its limits), but the multiplayer wasn't for me...

Look, I was your age... I can still recite the music by heart; some were definitely inspired by pieces from Metallica and Slayer. Speaking of Half Life, despite being of a different conception, there's clearly something that harkens back to Doom, or better, to ID, starting with the engine which is nothing more than a modified version of Quake (just like the Source of HL2, the evolution of the evolution of the evolution of the incredible engine - really 3D - of Quake).

The last decent episode of the second NFS era... I only save the first 2 Underground and this one; Carbon is already a bit of a letdown, and the following ones just got worse and worse. EA has recently let the old team go and tasked 3 major external teams with creating 3 games in the series. The first, Shift, is coming out in 2 months and, from what I can see, looks like a GT simulator.

First of all, a necessary thank you to the dwarves for the unexpected hassle :D so, no Romero has nothing to do with horror movies, but it’s a very well-known name for various reasons, including post-ID. I’ve recently taken an interest in the various ports of the time, on 16 and 32-bit machines, and the conversion on the Snes seems incredible indeed. Probably the best console version remains on the Sega 32X, as it is very faithful in terms of details and textures. Slow, choppy, and lacking in details are the Saturn and Snes versions (the latter more than justified, even if the absence of mapping on floors and ceilings is evident), fast but equally poor in details are the Jaguar and Psx versions. A special mention goes to the N64 version, which has nothing to do with it, but looks nice. Anyway, no version holds up to the PC one, of course.

No, but objectively speaking, saying that AC/DC is music for teenagers is bullshit. If it’s coming from someone who gives 4 out of 5 points to stuff like Amy Macdonald, Lady Gaga, and other vomit-inducing pop mush, you can just label them as a useless idiot.
