Portal runs on the third version of the Source engine (2007), it’s not exactly the same as the engine from 2004; here you have HDR everywhere, shaders 3, and a polygon count multiplied in open spaces (even though Portal doesn’t really move much on-screen, plus it’s mostly indoors). Not to mention the moral aspect, people who have made a fuss over the family day, only to find out that the prime minister has been having dozens of underage prostitutes sent to his house for years and organizes parties in state buildings. Elsewhere, the opposition would have initiated impeachment proceedings, the press would have destroyed him, and the average citizen would have called for his head. Here, the opposition criticizes him timidly without bothering him too much, the press reiterates that it's not a crime to visit prostitutes, and the average citizen wishes they were in his place.
