actually it’s from 2008 :P here in Italy we always arrive after the rest of the world... it’s a necessary recovery after the disaster of Revolver, it doesn’t reach the peaks of Snatch or Lock&Stock but it gets the job done.

Oh my God, did you really like Last Revelation and Chronicles? Okay, they were better than that garbage third chapter, but we’re still talking about the same old tired mechanics for 5 years, with items that wouldn’t be collected unless perfectly aligned, pixel-perfect jumps that required precision that the game controls struggled to provide, and the same terrible tweaked engine. And Angel of Darkness, which was supposed to be the grand debut on the new generation of consoles, despite better sales than the flop of Chronicles, was a terrible game and cost Core dearly. I haven’t played Underworld, but the last game worthy of the first two chapters is Legend.

The first and last virtual diva. I would have liked to write a summary of the love/hate soap opera between Eidos and Core and the rise and fall of the character, but I don’t think it’s really necessary. The first chapter will be remembered for what it was, namely a beautiful game in every aspect. After the second, it’s better not to dwell on the past, at least until Core loses the license and everything ends up in the hands of Crystal Dynamics.
