Fifa '96 was technically revolutionary on PC, but I distinctly remember, as Mopaga says, that on console you scored goals after kicking it from midfield. The '98 parentheses is fun; it's true that "PES" didn't exist, but its predecessor, certainly ISS PRO (always Winning Eleven jap), was much more playable and enjoyable than Fifa.
