Sofia Coppola Lost In Translation

Ah, even Coppola is obscenely overrated, that garbage with Kirsten Dunst is stuff for the hall of shame.
Sofia Coppola Lost In Translation

It must be one of the most overrated films in film history; I'll never understand who screams masterpiece. If I want to watch Scarlett again, there are better films where she's even more beautiful. If I want to see recent Murray films, I'd say he literally outshines this performance in both Broken Flowers and Steve Zissou. Besides, at least something happens in those films. I don’t know, maybe when I’m 50 and I ask myself if it’s worth buying the Porsche to lift my spirits, I’ll reevaluate it.

nothing to write home about, but I’m sure it was pure gold compared to the last movie

"reggie," "triology," "trasecolare" (here you excel, even our grandparents didn't use this), every couple of lines there’s something that makes you bend over with laughter. Besides the review, the movie is also a mess. If you want to see a good film with Jolie, watch Changeling; if you want to see Jolie at her best, watch Gia, as someone has already suggested.

and I almost forgot Jackass, which was actually on at the same time as the Soliti Idioti. Just think about that de-evolution.

Do you remember when MTV aired Beavis & Butthead, Daria, Brand New with Coppola, the original Celebrity Deathmatch, Selèct with Andrea Pezzi? Well, because today there’s stuff like Jersey Shore, Teen Mom, and the Soliti Idioti. Too bad there’s no zero rating on Deb.

beautiful, I remember the first one as a true gem. It's been at least 15 years... I'm going to dig it up, for sure it runs on dosbox.
Robert Rodriguez Machete

"when has robert rodriguez ever been able to make a film that surpasses the quality of the one reviewed here?" Planet Terror is objectively better. Even without Alba in the shower, the Lohan being provocative, and the girl with the phone in the heat.

GustavoTanz, you are proof that there is no hope. None. You will never pull your head out of your ass. Never. What the hell did you understand? Berlusconi's schemes? They've known each other for 15 years. We're talking about a guy who founded a party with mafia money with his friend Dell'Utri. A guy who talks about Mangano using the epithet "hero." A guy who went into politics to avoid going to jail. A guy who has been shoving propaganda and various bullshit down your throat for the last ten years while destroying the state and jobs to save his own ass, protect his friends, and maximize profits. What the hell did you understand from the fact that he goes for underage prostitutes? That he is not the example of Catholic morality that the damn church has always pointed out as a candidate to vote for? What a cold shower. He is still there, despite half of these scandals being enough to demand resignations in any civilized country. In London, a guy like that would be met by a crowd waiting to lynch him publicly. But he’s in a country full of idiots, so he doesn’t have these problems. And he’s still there, and he will remain, that’s the sad part. You say that a guy like this in power for a decade doesn’t worry you. What worries you much more is what the hell De Benedetti, Montezemolo, Draghi, Marchionne, Marcegaglia, etc... are doing. But why? When the hell were these people in power? When the hell did they fill parliament with thieves, mafiosi, and convicted criminals? When did they ever enact draconian reforms and ad personam laws to sabotage the system to their advantage? When? What the hell do you care about these people? For fuck's sake, I don’t know where the hell you left your brain.

In my life, I have had interesting discussions with fascists, anarchists, communists, and so on, but I have never met a Berlusconi supporter who wasn't a poor ignorant or an opportunist ready to sell his mother, or simply a hopeless jerk. On the other hand, anyone who believes a single word from Berlusconi must necessarily be an idiot or a scumbag, or both; there's no escaping it.
