Billy Wilder Sabrina

I must have seen the remake with Harrison Ford... I missed the original, but the remake deserved a meager 3.
Danny Boyle Trainspotting

To those who make comparisons like the boys from Berlin Zoo, or worse, Requiem for a Dream, I remind them that books (like films) do not convey the same message at all, and while the latter are snapshots of existential dramas, Trainspotting is a generational portrait that, far from being an apologia for drugs, contains an important dose of scathing irony, the true hallmark of Welsh.
Danny Boyle Trainspotting
Voto:
I adore Welsh, so my judgment is biased... I can only say that Boyle has nonetheless managed, through his unique style, to condense part of the events of the book (at least a good 50%) without going off the rails and maintaining a consistent underlying theme. The film, like the book, has marked an era, and recently I read about a possible adaptation of the sequel, "Porno," which I highly recommend reading. Coincidentally, about ten years have passed; it would be the perfect time for the sequel.

On the contrary to "reverse", I don't mind the Dm led by Gore and personally believe they age well. Without diminishing the value of the album, most of the tracks today sound quite dated, mainly because electronic music has evolved monstrously. I have the same problem with old Kraftwerk tracks, some of which are partially unlistenable. The DM are more pop-oriented, and perhaps certain palates will adapt to the sound, but if you’ve been chewing on various forms of electronics for a long time, the DMs pre-86-87 should be approached with caution and a lot of awareness.

Lars Von Trier Dancer In The Dark
Voto:
good movie, perhaps a bit overrated, certainly by the questionable Lars Trier (did you know that he put Von in it himself? Crazy stuff...). Luckily, I watched it before that dud Dogville (absolutely one of the biggest jokes I've endured as a viewer), otherwise I would have written it off completely.
Ruggero Deodato Cannibal Holocaust
Voto:
I missed it, unfortunately they don't stay on home very long... strange how the message of the film (who are the real cannibals?) seems to have escaped many. In any case, it's essential, a work that transcends horror and touches on neo-realism. It matters little if the production is imperfect, the screenplay weak, and the actors poor. The underlying concept is strong. If you have a stomach for it, it's worth watching.
Francis Ford Coppola The Godfather (Part I, II, III)

I don't quite agree with the decision to put them all together; the first two are a 5 while the third is a tight 3... anyway, not bad.
