Martin Scorsese Quei bravi ragazzi
Voto:
I would have given it a 5, because movies of this caliber are few and far between... and that’s coming from someone who still prefers Casino. Anyway, a masterpiece that's never praised enough and not sufficiently rewarded upon its release (thinking about the Oscar for The Departed makes me laugh).

I agree, the book isn't worth it, but it's a decent adaptation... to improve it, they could have perhaps added more gore; you can feel the unexpressed potential here... anyway, not bad.
Kevin Smith Clerks (Commessi)

p.s. (then I swear I’ll stop), the sequel is two notches above the original. If you liked this, you absolutely have to see it.

Francis Ford Coppola Apocalypse Now
Voto:
perhaps the least watchable Vietnam film for me, I've always preferred Platoon and Hamburger Hill to this, maybe because the hallucinatory side of AP has never really appealed to me... that said, it is a piece of history, but it's not among my personal favorites.
Steven Spielberg Schindler's List

Jawbreaker, if you've seen Munich and think that way, then you haven't understood a damn thing, sorry to say.
Clive Barker Hellraiser

perhaps the best Barker
Steven Spielberg Schindler's List

I don't think so, that film strongly impacted Israeli public opinion, and even in the USA there was an attempt at a boycott from the more radical Jews.

L'imperatore di Roma (1988) - IMDb is this the famous "The Emperor of Rome"? Ok, I admit I haven't seen it, but it seems to be a low-budget flick with actors who have done between 2 and 3 films each. Now, it’s true that I haven't watched it, but allow me to be doubtful about the infinite superiority of their acting.
