Robert Rodriguez - Frank Miller Sin City

beautiful and imperfect, the concrete example of how absolute fidelity (almost, Quel Bastardo Giallo isn't exactly like that in the comic) can simultaneously be both the strength and weakness of a work. The dialogues that fit so well with the characters on paper often come across as over the top and excessive here. The excess of zeal and the inability of the directors to make any minimal personal choices prevent the film from reaching levels of excellence. As it is, it's a perfect adaptation, but it lacks a bit of courage.

not that "original" necessarily has to rhyme with "paraculo" and "pretestuoso." This film is take it or leave it; if you don't like it, you can always give it a 2, but giving it a 1 as if it were garbage is not a sign of open-mindedness. You might have every reason in the world, but this is not a piece of crap.

Ghemison, stop doing drugs :D seriously, the limits are precisely in the fact that it doesn't deviate much from the comic (like Sin City and its adaptation), which is why the dialogues aren't great... it's a good adaptation, actually it's excellent (something has been lost, of course), the problem is that the comic itself wasn't anything transcendent. It's enjoyable and better than the films listed by Ghemison (though you only mentioned trash), except for Sin City which has little to do with the genre (and which, by the way, I consider to be of better quality).

I quote the Venusian, Poletti what do you say? When "Trinità" came out, there were already Lino Banfi and Alvaro Vitali around; this film is deliberately devoid of a certain type of vulgarity, not censorship at all. Whether you like it or not is subjective, but equating it to stuff branded Boldi-De Sica doesn’t exist at all.
Ron Howard Il Codice Da Vinci

avoidable, well-crafted and polished, but lacking real depth. I haven't read the book but the movie isn't great...

Hot Shots wasn't that disgusting... this one is a cult classic, the second installment is great too.
