So what you wrote in the review doesn't hold up. If you really played Morrowind, there's no way you could have found Skyrim "mundane." I mean, it's impossible that you thought the main quest was something that broke out of the genre clichés. If you played Oblivion, you know very well that Skyrim is a refined and perfected version of ES4. And this isn't hidden; Skyrim presents itself exactly for what it is: an extremely rich sandbox loaded with content. That's what Bethesda has been offering for a while, and it's what people want. The dual wield alone, while simple, seems almost revolutionary for the genre. And that doesn't mean the game doesn't have a ton of flaws, because it does, but you don't mention a single one. You talk about it as if it were, I don’t know, a vanilla Oblivion, without mods, a mediocre game with an amazing environment, only fully appreciated through mods. The graphics, damn, they wanted it to run on that piece of crap hardware from 7 years ago that the consoles have (the PS3 can't even handle the engine, which, by the way, is still the Gamebryo that they revamped), do you have any idea what the shoddy textures look like in this game in high resolutions? It's no mystery that HD packs abound on PC; the graphics are low quality. It looks decent with crap hardware, sure, but we're in 2012, not 2005; we want performance, not efficiency. I don’t know, the way you talk about it suggests either you've barely played it or you didn’t give it a chance at all.

it's less terrible than the first one, there's more rhythm and the villain fits in. But it's still mediocre.

3 stars for this abominable crap? For this mountain of steaming dung for which Carpenter should be slapped around for the rest of his days?

what a bad review... not because it's a hatchet job, criticizing the game of the year is fair if you know what you're talking about and dissect all the small, but relevant, flaws that the title actually has (and I’m not talking about bugs or the interface, that’s all stuff already modded and patched). It’s just that this isn’t the case; it’s clear that you’ve never picked up an Elder Scrolls game, and I emphasize, never, the fact that you compare it to the modern reboots of Fallout and praise its graphics (which are among the worst) proves it. So, what are we talking about? Someone who didn’t appreciate the first few hours of gameplay because they didn’t grasp how it works or expected a Bioware-style RPG where they’re hand-held like a child until the credits roll? If you had started Oblivion, you would’ve dropped it after an hour. You would’ve quit Morrowind after five minutes. You probably have never touched or even heard of Daggerfall and Arena. It’s not that these games are for everyone, even though Skyrim is certainly the most user-friendly iteration of the saga. And I’m not even a huge ES fan, but there isn’t even a hint of the actual flaws of the game in this review; this isn’t a critique, but the whimpering of someone who shouldn’t even think about approaching a title like this.

a "review" of a schedule (!) from someone who evidently hates poker, it must have been difficult to condense such a pointless page. Among the gems of the review, we discover that those who play poker definitely don’t have sex, don’t hang out with friends, don’t get drunk, don’t go to the movies, and don’t read. Among the treasures of the comments, we find people who obviously have never set foot in a casino, have never played online, have no idea what they're talking about, but are ready to support the idea that playing poker leads to ruin until the very end. Damn, then we wonder why Italy has reached the point it's at now? With the level of common sense and idiocy condensed in this page?

47, if you reread my thoughts, you'll see that there are artistic pretensions in some products, and it would be wrong to deny them, but your perspective is skewed since you still consider video games to be childish/nerdy/antisocial, etc. But this is typical of the (sub)culture entrenched in Italy, a country that's lagging behind, becoming increasingly backward, and views the richest and most powerful entertainment industry in the world as just "little games," snubbing a business that generates mountains of billions and encourages technological progress. After all, what can you expect from a country that has worse internet connections than certain African nations? Ten years ago, even the internet was considered something for losers here in Italy; now the same people who thought that way spend 12 hours a day connected with their smartphones and feel cool about it. This is a country of backward people who don't understand a damn thing and reach logical conclusions always too late, always after the deadline. Just look at the politics, a reflection of the country, to get an idea. None of the titles you mentioned ever had the slightest artistic ambition; in fact, stigmatizing the discussion simply because you found Ico boring seems ridiculous to me. We could have the same discussion about any album or film, and I wouldn't see anything absurd in that.
