Spielberg has produced some good stuff and continues to do so (Munich comes to mind as a recent example), and if in between he throws in something like War of the Worlds, it doesn’t bother me. The Vanzina brothers have always made only crap, and even to compare them to Spielberg is heresy.

A Scanner Darkly is very, very faithful to the book, except for a couple of small details. Anyway, even Blade Runner is terrible compared to the book, huh... I give this film two and a half stars; the intentions were good, but then everything goes beautifully to hell along the way...
