David Fincher Seven

Fincher's fetish film, always a nice sight. The review is kind of crap.
David Cronenberg A Dangerous Method

boredom boredom and boredom, but I would watch this 10 times rather than Cosmopolis just once

Skipping directly over any technical comments (on which I believe everyone would agree, we could spend hours watching those hair movements), I don’t think this film is a bust. There’s a lot of action, no boring or cliché romantic subplot, and the core of the film is indeed the mother-daughter relationship, which is addressed in a perhaps not super-original way, but still done well. The character of the King could have been more developed, but he doesn’t seem like a complete caricature. If we must find a flaw, this is a film that feels more Disney than Pixar; I don’t know if I’m making myself clear, in my opinion it hits all the intended targets, but maybe it doesn't hit a perfect bullseye on each one. However, it remains undeniably a good film, considering that the last Pixar was that abomination of Cars 2, it almost feels like shouting "masterpiece." It’s not at the excellence level of The Incredibles, Ratatouille, or Up, but I would still recommend it to anyone. Great review.

not so funny, the translated version in Italian is actually awful. The original is better, but there are many better comedy series.

I love reviews that start with "absolute masterpiece"... the rest of the text makes you want to gouge your eyes out.

It's incredible how, over time, people, probably dazed by the current trash and the standards so low that they can't get any lower, tend irretrievably to rehabilitate the crap of the past, thinking it's chocolate...

I disagree with a lot of things in the review. The second chapter is watchable, but it falls short of the first. Bane is the best-developed character of the entire trilogy; his intelligence stands out, and he is given a somewhat political connotation that fits the times, even though his ultimate goal is decidedly simpler and more predictable. It's a shame about his anti-climactic end, the same goes for Talia, a character thrown in worse than Two-Face in the prequel and taken out of the scene in an even worse way; it's a shame about the barely sketched "romance" worthy of a TV series, and above all, it’s a shame about the shitty rating when this film begs to be R. Aside from that, it’s a "big" movie, with a well-spent budget, intense although long (let’s say an hour of buildup is a bit too much – luckily the film takes off anyway), it seems like Nolan threw a lot of good ideas into the pot, but in the rush to conclude, he didn’t develop them all as they deserved. Catwoman looks great but doesn’t add much (unfortunately); on the other hand, the future Robin/Nightwing is excellent. Thankfully, there’s Bane, who, without a single facial expression (thanks to the mask), literally sweeps away any previous nemesis of the trilogy with his stage presence. Overall good, definitely one of the best films of the season (though it’s been out in the U.S. for two months...) rating 3.5/5.

watchable, the problem is that it never really takes off, even though the cast is solid and the direction is nimble. A film that has potential but never realizes it as it could/should, although the ending is excellent.
James Cameron True Lies

Arnod who does self-parody, Cameron adds iconic action scenes into the mix and the package works. It’s not one of my favorites with the gropenfuhrer, but it’s watchable. Someone review Total Recall because the horrific remake with Colin Farrell is coming.
