Has Armin had his time?? It's only been two years since he’s been releasing compilations like crazy. If you’re only focused on those commercial singles, that’s your business. From my standpoint, having over 300 episodes of ASOT, I still find him to be in great shape... the title of best DJ he’s held for the last two years is fully deserved. Before this summer's Global Gathering, I had almost forgotten about Ferry; he came back, and thank goodness, you can feel it in his latest release... Rank1? I haven’t heard from them in ages, and they haven’t been live for a while; are they possibly dead?
David Lynch Inland Empire
Voto:
Yes, but I don’t know... the premise is mind-blowing, but the execution is pure madness. When I read that Lynch started filming random scenes without a script, I somewhat believe it. Stunning disorienting atmosphere, you definitely won’t come out unscathed, but to put it simply, it doesn’t make any sense at all. Because there’s nothing to understand. I don’t rate it because this is a film that deserves a 5 or a 1, no middle ground.

At the end of the decade? The best was produced between 2000 and 2004. It’s been a few years since he’s done anything special, but if you rate this album a 1, you’re in a bad place, really. You can mention A&B, Airbase, and whatever else, but don’t mention Armin van Buuren, you’re in really deep trouble.

It's monstrous, to say the least, for both the era and the subsequent production.

Personally, I preferred Dodgeball that came out a few years after this; Zoolander, more than a comedy, is pure nonsense, and I must admit I prefer comedies.

In 4 lines you manage to: spit on masterpieces like those of Oshii, Otomo, or Miyazaki, who have created works capable of conceptually and technically impoverishing 95% of Western productions in the last 40 years, saving just a few things from Pixar and Disney; insult those who appreciate these works (and therefore are two steps ahead of you in this field); reduce the complexity and avant-garde of these works by comparing them to low-quality commercial anime (from the way you speak, it seems you just finished watching Dragon Ball and have never seen anything else but Dragon Ball); engage in a form of common sense by assuming that the super deformed style is the rule of Japanese animation, when it is not. Of course, if your cultural background stops at Italia 1 and MTV, you couldn't have said much else...

I haven't seen the movie, but I belong to the group that has never been able to appreciate the series... for various reasons, such as the underlying plot mixed with religious concepts, the mechas, and the protagonist I couldn't care less about from the very first second. I'm not going to go on a rant because probably a good part of the reasons why this anime is loved are the same as those for which it is despised.
