HBO Game Of Thrones (Il Trono di Spade) - Ottava Stagione

I believe that the eighth season of GoT alone is enough to undermine the entire work, shifting it from "cultural phenomenon" to "that series that started well and ended in haste and chaos because the two idiots behind the camera were in a rush to go make their awful Star Wars trilogy for Disney." Rarely have I seen such poor screenwriting, but here we've hit a new low. I disagree with the review; there's practically nothing worth saving here.

It should be noted that only the Ultimate cut of this film should be watched (which unfortunately almost no one has seen), but I enjoyed it. The changes also make sense; some characters from the original work do not translate well to film, and overall it’s a well-crafted adaptation. I wouldn't be so negative about the cinematography. Better this than anything regurgitated by Marvel or DC in the last decade.

I have to listen to it, I just got them back a few days ago after having snubbed them since the times of Invaders, let's hope for the best.

I dissent; it makes sense to bring out movies like that when the climate is what it is these days in America.

Imo, a blockbuster. Nowadays, there are no more studios investing to recreate sci-fi worlds at this level; this was the last exception, I think. It should have been seen in Imax.

I found it really awful... nothing against the idea of putting the past away, but then you need to replace it with something... there are issues of continuity and consistency already seen in the previous chapter, here exaggerated to the point of ridiculousness, useless characters thrown in just to stretch it out to 3 hours of brown-breaking boredom, and protagonists who couldn't be more two-dimensional. Watched in IMAX 3D in the original version, so I can't even complain about the viewing conditions, it’s just a film written by people who clearly know nothing about SW in general. And I thought Lucas's prequels were bad...

It's a film fully aware of its own stupidity, what's not to appreciate? Of course the book is something else.

It's always nice to come back and find pieces of criticism of this level, where from the height of a fucking pedestal, you give a film like this one star... what the hell did this movie do to deserve so much hatred?

Putting aside the obvious comparisons with the book, it's very hard to take seriously a review that brings up the alleged merits of the obscene and ridiculous family TV version from the 90s when the only merit of that disgrace was to bring 10-year-old kids closer to the genre. This film does everything a horror movie with a budget should do in 2017; complaining that it’s predictable and doesn’t draw inspiration from garbage like Babadook (thank God) means glossing over the fact that IT must follow a sequential plot by necessity—straying too far from the book is not allowed. The strength of this film could never be in originality, but rather in execution.

I'll put it on the list, I'll check it as soon as possible.
