Excuse me Boredom: and who are you to deal with politics? Is the fact that you support the war in Iraq automatically nonsense? Not that I am in favor, but who are we to say that everything he says, because it goes against common thought, is nonsense? Before judging an opinion, one should carefully evaluate the reasons that lead to such an opinion. He may have good reasons for being in favor. Given that I don't love critiques, here's the situation:

1) Reading his site, it doesn't really seem to me that he denies the sociocultural importance of the Beatles or many other groups. He only and exclusively makes an artistic evaluation. For him, artistically, the Beatles are worth one-tenth of what is claimed, because they are hyperproduced and hyperadvertised.
2) It is not true at all that he likes any album that features alternative suites of 20-minute noise. I have seen reviews of a lot of super alternative groups (like Magma) that are very negative.
3) He himself admits to being harsher on more famous groups to counter the excessive esteem they enjoy.
