Just a little tricky, you don't want to have his neurons on your conscience so soon, right... they could report you..:-). The NEU too.. hihi..
But calling Nick Drake pop hurts me... considering what pop has become... I'd say folk.
I'm the same pig as before, huh?

Alright, forget the dialectical discussion about idiots and various nonsense with Enrico & co. Let’s get back to the main point: why say that the concert is a joke? Great musicians, the Arcimboldi, songs from Pink Floyd (including Echoes... not trivial, right?) and more. I mean, I don’t believe there were only "stupid" fans; I imagine there were also people who simply wanted to enjoy some excellent live music, with great performers and songs they maybe hadn’t heard live in years (the older ones) or perhaps never (the younger ones), all in a setting of “few close ones,” not the 80,000 in a stadium, which I think is never a bad thing. Then again, it's true that generally fans (of any musician) can be idiots (but for me, only in a musical sense), but from there to say the concert is a joke, that’s a whole different thing for me. Said this way, all concerts of famous artists are a joke. The last Stones (album and tour), now that is a joke... I believe.

My post above is to respond to that...a little above, meaning his second to last. Guys, but do we ever work? :-)

that's true, but I'm sorry, it's a cliché how obvious it is, and it doesn't only apply to Gilmour or Tool. Then all artists (from BSB to Wyatt) have fans, and many fans are "gaggia," as you say, so a discourse like yours could apply to any concert of a minimally famous artist, thus nothing would make more sense.

Uncle, I like your irony and everything else, but just to be serious for a moment, it’s really a bit absurd to say (seriously) that anyone who went to the concert is a gaggio... I mean, I would have gladly gone and I'm not one of them :-)

I'm responding to primiballi: of course I read the review, but I don't understand the controversy regarding me. Regarding promoting the new album, perhaps I expressed myself poorly: what I meant to say is that if I really have to find something annoying about the tour (which I didn't attend since I didn't have a ticket), it's the fact that they perform all 10 songs from the new CD. However, I didn't know this was a custom of the Floyd. In any case, it's a custom that I personally don't like. I said this just to express the opposite opinion to Caz, meaning that a concert like this isn't necessarily a joke; on the contrary.. but I explained this earlier.

primimballi, I'm not sure I understood which side you're on, but I, maybe I didn't explain myself well, was defending Gilmour. then I don't know exactly which songs he has done. I know I would have liked to hear echoes, really.

caz: your last post is very right, however, I don’t share the same initial argument. Imagine that I think quite the opposite: the real shame is that he made all 10 new songs, a typical shameless way to promote an album that many consider mediocre, by the way. The fact that he is re-performing the usual Floyd songs is the beautiful side for someone who loves that music and wants to hear it played live, with great skill, I imagine, by 2 of the 4 Floyd + Wyatt and other big Canterbury musicians. Did he do it for money? Definitely, it's his job, right? Did he do it because he likes to play and truly believes in it? I believe so, it's his job and his life to be a musician. Is €109 too much? True, but the ticket price for a theater concert or a performance is that, it’s hard to fight against price trends, don’t you think? There are new groups of young people who work hard and whose concerts are cheap and innovative? Absolutely true, but if someone likes the Floyd and wants to hear them, they shouldn’t feel obliged to go see the others just to do a favor to those poor, talented, innovative artists. Moreover, the controversy over the name is sterile; if it had been called a Pink Floyd concert, there would have been even more reactions, don’t you agree?
Hello everyone.

this site is really going downhill. I believe that certain unserious groups shouldn't appear here. I mean, one wants to read intelligent reviews of interesting but unknown artists or true milestones, accompanied by smart and sensible comments. Otherwise, it turns into a joke. You can't even vote for Oasis on a site like this. If Crimson, or Can, or Grateful Dead, or Mercury Rev get a 4 or 5, how can you give Oasis a 1? Come on, + seriousness.
Anyway, I'm voting to bring down the average.
