unreachable record. truly one of the greatest in history. a tip for zion or others: light up something that isn't just a simple cigarette, lie down on the bed, eyes closed, stereo volume up to the max and let it take effect... then you’ll tell us how it was :-).

bluecamel: you say the pf haven't invented anything: and what do you have to say about the first album (overall interstellar overdrive) or a saucerful of secrets? echoes, for example, is nothing "new," but it's still splendid. meanwhile, dark side of the moon isn’t anything new and it’s not even that splendid.

I’m three-quarters of the way through the first suite, that’s enough for me.

This is one of the best reviews I've read, especially for how well it describes the album in every part and particularly for "echoes" and the final quote. Really great!
killgod: what have you listened to from Pink Floyd to say that they are banal?

I'm not trying to be a pain, but Adriano: in the other discussion you exalt Dire Straits as the saviors (actually inventors) of rock, and here you agree with those who go against your opinion? Just so you know, Dire Straits are as commercial as Queen...

DBalavoine: your point about U2 and Freddie's voice is right. The part about reaching the masses is only partially correct. It’s absolutely true, and one is free to do so, but it’s equally true that there are those who have tried to elevate rock to a form of art superior to the usual chart-topping song. The Queen did this very little, unlike formidable bands like Pere Ubu, The Doors, V.U., etc., who really changed the history of rock and recorded true masterpieces. That said, in their approach to making entertainment music, they do it with great class, that's true. Great review anyway.

eh..if everything were like bryter layter pop… good luck with that…
anyway, it’s even hard for me to consider Ryanair as pop… I mean… I think his records are worth as much as the cans of Coca Cola you find at the supermarket… I don’t know if I make myself clear…

true, in fact I’m not crazy about it, on the contrary, I find the whole album a bit too pompous...
