@festw: I don’t know, it could be like you say, but it didn't give me that impression. Rather, a lot of irony (annoying metal solo)/“Now I'm going to show you how musical art shouldn't be boxed in and limited by rigid classical canons.. blah blah... you annoying listener, take this!”
@mah: It's true, the very first impression is the one you mentioned... but by the end of the album... I don't know, you feel a little itch... the 5 stars shouldn't be taken literally, but more for the (potential) impact of the work... for those who calm down, the reviewers didn't exaggerate, quite the opposite... :-)

I'm worried, I haven't seen any reviews from Walt in a while....come on, I really want to know how The Works is...I need to discover new music, wouldn't want to spend 15 euros on the latest Yo La Tengo...who am I?

Alright, you got me... you're too smart and cultured... it's true... I’m a know-it-all, fuck, ajeje, josi, morrison and all the others... and they are me, I mean we're all one... but that doesn't matter much because the fact remains that you’re an idiot... being an idiot doesn’t depend on how many people hang around a chat or a forum, right! You are an idiot and you will remain one... at most the upside is that the more people participate, the more people can happily laugh and have fun at the nonsense you write... and well... I’m just... amen...

ps: the story of the serious boy, "I feel close to the rockers who can't break through, etc. etc." with the 40 overdubs, please spare us that, it really becomes pathetic... we like clowns more, like in the previous posts... kisses :-)

you’re an idiot, Walter :-)...your reasoning is completely wrong: basically, according to you, it’s not right to try to promote unknown but talented groups in the hope they become known, but instead to praise even more those already known and pretend the unknown ones don’t exist...it’s madness...practically, if today I discover a band from Arese that rocks, I shouldn’t tell anyone, I should wait until they’re smart enough to break into the music business and then maybe I can talk about them....hahaha...I think your problem isn’t musical at all...you’ve really got it all wrong...In any case, even if you were right (which is as likely as Britney Spears composing "A Saucerful of Secrets" on her next album), the purpose of the site is exactly this, so if you don’t like it...get out of the dance...

ahaha..but what are you saying, starminchia? So one should listen not to the best music (according to their taste) but to the music of those who have been better (and I won't deny that it takes skill) at making their way in the music business? For example, you are definitely one of the best at making a name for yourself on debaser; this page is super-overvisited, and people are having fun, but it remains that you only write nonsense...eh.
By the way, you are a bundle of contradictions: a bit above you say that you only listen to famous bands and chart-toppers because they are evidently better, more skilled, etc., but then to show off to those "shitty alternatives from the social center" that you so despise, you emphasize how you are obviously a true rocker and that you can even like unknown bands...but that don’t appeal to the masses, only to then say again that you don’t care if someone sings better than Bowie, because that doesn’t count; what matters is knowing how to break through...You’re really a legend...

Dear Walter, it's not about trying to bring back into the spotlight, for some unknown humanitarian reason (even though it's good that those who KNOW tell those who DO NOT KNOW that there is much better stuff than what they know through the charts)... It's about knowing and seeking out good groups for the simple reason that you enjoy music and feel emotion and pleasure when listening to good music... you got it? Are you really here or just pretending? Anyway, you crack me up, keep it up... lol... the discourse on patronage is amazing... lol... comparing groups with a few dozen listeners for Mozart (often of a certain culture) to masses of millions of people... hihi... by the way, no one says that "fame=shit," but that "fame does not equal good," do you get the difference?

What Walter is talking about is the History of sales and fashion... on this site, if you haven't figured it out, we try to talk about music. Everyone knows that the 80s, on a mainstream level, mean Madonna, Jacko, Tears for Fears, etc., and that pop (unfortunately) dominated the charts. Change your "musical history" to "history of sales charts" and then switch sites... there are plenty that would be ready to welcome your hunger to discuss topics like fashion and related things, right? What are you doing here?
