I agree with what the reviewer and Enea said. Mediocre album.

Imho, a nearly terrible album, Eno's attempt to glue certain ambient atmospheres to the sugary and bland pop of Coldplay has not succeeded at all. Martin once again shows that he doesn't put any effort into his singing, and his voice is rather banal. The rhythm section doesn’t even pull through if you paid them, and the usual, flat wall of sound in the background is nerve-wracking. Perhaps "Yes" saves the day with echoes of "Venus in Furs" and a singing performance that's finally up to par, and "Strawberry Swing" and "Violet Hill" are not to be discarded. A school review.

great, but I think I only know 2 - 3 dik dik songs... and I don't think I'll delve deeper into their discography; I'll rather spend the summer listening to some excellent avant-noise :-)

ps: Paolo, however, on the issue of the cookie you’ve let me down. This is purely unsportsmanlike behavior, thus it involves intent. It seems to me that you've fallen into the prescriptive justification that you were so keen to distinguish from the descriptive one. Regards.

The point is that democracy, especially the Italian one, is weak against the mafia, any mafia. Therefore, it is true what is "provoked" by Il_Paolo: the mafia has real popular support (a bit like Silvio...) and probably the only thing to do is to acknowledge its strength and negotiate with it. The alternative would be an all-out war (a real war, even against implicit accomplices), but this would only be possible in a dictatorship, as spaccamascella hints between the lines, and I don't think anyone here is willing to return to the fascist regime.
Best regards.

But indeed Il_Paolo, I had understood perfectly well, from the posts in both reviews of Il Divo, your thoughts and I must say I largely agree with them. It is also evident that there is an attempt to adopt a sociological and detached perspective, which unfortunately is seen by the anti-Berlusconi, anti-Androetti, anti-Etc. fanatics as provocation (if they are feeling generous) or as a result of ignorance and servitude (when they are not, i.e., from poletti, sic.). Of course, good old Silvio makes us very angry, but he is a typically Italian product... Yesterday a friend of mine said: "If I had been Van Basten, I would have scored the cookie"... what more can we add...
