Come on, you know that I am Superior to you. On this, we both have no doubt! ;-) Is that how you wink at each other, you youngsters?

Burp! Sorry, you made me burp. I’ll repeat ad aeternum that rock is dead, I never wrote it. In the review above, I wrote that unfortunately the Skynyrd plane crashed, taking away that kind of southern rock (in other words, those guys are really dead). I’m not that out of my mind to say that rock is dead. If I said it, I take it back. Also, because otherwise I’d just be stuck in my room with my old dusty vinyls, spinning them over and over. Instead, I'm here getting to know new bands, from illustrious people like you. I’ll never admit it, not even under medieval torture, but there’s something here I might have listened to...

Look, and now I'm speaking seriously and with my hand on my heart: what you have written is unfortunately true: there’s almost no one in this review. And I’m very sorry about that. But I ask, how can you not know these milestones? Also because there’s a high risk that someone who listens to a band that is trying a genre of music for the first time might scream miracle or legend (not knowing who founded that music). I reiterate that I’m making a serious point, I believe it’s absolutely necessary to at least be familiar with the classics; they might suck, or not. But how the hell can you comment on new records if you don’t have "the basics"??? It's like playing soccer without knowing how to dribble, cross, or stop the ball. The fundamentals are essential! So the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, The Beach Boys, Bowie, Creedence, Dylan, Springsteen, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Young, Jefferson Airplane, Lou Reed, Velvet Underground, Zappa, The Clash, Cream, Marvin Gaye, Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Jethro Tull, Joplin, Tom Waits, The Doors, Van Morrison, Allman Bros, John Lennon, The Band, King Crimson, Deep Purple, Ramones, Iggy Pop, and going further back to Presley, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Eddie Cochran, Woody Guthrie (to stop in the 70s) mean nothing? First, you MUST know them, then you choose based on your tastes and with informed judgment, not randomly.

In fact, here I read some Hard Rock reviews, as you say, that had me rolling on the floor with laughter! So his thesis, Er Professor, would be "those who don't know Lynyryd don't give a damn about Lynyryd," thank goodness I’m the one spouting nonsense. According to your fervent mind, how can someone not give a damn about a band if they’re not even aware of its existence? Of course, if you and your friends are passing around all these records with skulls, crosses, graves, zombies, dragons, monsters, UFOs, and goats, you'll never get to some good music!

My next review will surprise you. You have no idea who you’re dealing with! Anyway, let me point out, dear my Professor Graduate From The University Of All Music of All Times Of All Bands, with honors, academic kiss, and a fling with the professor's assistant (thesis supervisor) Niky Hendrix, niece of the famous guitarist, so as I was saying, dear my all-knowing one, even though almost all of my reviews are mainstream, HERE on Debaser THEY WERE NOT. So, not everyone is like you, for whom a review of the Skynyrds gives you a "pumping piston", I believe that more than half of the visitors to this site didn’t even know them. And the fact that (like you) he knows the jingle of Sweet Home Alabama because it was played on "Mai dire gol" is a different story altogether. Between saying and doing, there’s the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Good morning ...Caz...!
I love ALL good music, old and new; it’s clear that with the "old" you can't go wrong. Of course, trusting your recommendations doesn't exactly help me sleep at night, but I’ll try to listen, maybe in the future, we’ll see...
