Come on... I imagined and agree with your observations. I gave you a 5 for a reason. I wasn't nitpicking, but considering you're intelligent, I just highlighted two so-so points..., especially that consideration of "God" here, which, in my opinion, didn't fit at all. In this tragedy, I see only human responsibility. If a country is built below sea level, it can happen, especially if one of the worst presidents (democratically elected) in the history of the world is governing that country. But "the whole" is still to my liking. However, I will never understand how the same person can "contain" a wild, unruly buffoon and an intelligent, sensitive person. I believe that over time, the latter will prevail over the former. Or rather, the former is probably a mask for the latter... ;-)

And yes, this time I almost agree on everything (who couldn't....?). However, two phrases are a bit randomly thrown in there: 1) "...I've never liked the cowboys from Texas, I've never liked the surfers from San Diego, I've never liked the freaks from San Francisco..." I mean? You were just missing the stockbrokers from New York and then it seems you’ve never liked any Americans; this is a very superficial and impact-driven statement; 2) "I haven't been to this place for quite a while and the more I move forward the less I want to go there, in 'stò gad, because 'stò gad when it does these things (and it has done quite a few) makes me think: 'are you an idiot or are you doing this on purpose?'" Well, this phrase feels a bit irrelevant, too simplistic and demagogic for my tastes. But, all things considered, for what you wrote earlier and especially because you can feel that you believe in it, you get a nice 5! Domino is beyond discussion.....

But yes!!!! "Rock on" and who cares about age! (I gave the album a 4 after just two quick listens)

I compliment you on this review that makes it clear what this album is like, which songs are beautiful or which aren't, and what the album means in the U2 discography. Well done. Balanced and meaningful! It's rare to read such things. I agree with you on the value of the CD.
