U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind

Hmm, the review isn’t great. You can’t just casually write "I like it because I think it's beautiful, and anyone who disagrees understands nothing" (the essence of your brief, pseudo-review). Secondly, you’re somewhat right that U2 is a fantastic rock band, but if you like them, you CANNOT rate this album a 5. What should The Joshua Tree get?

I like both the record and the review. A must-listen and a must-have. Another classic from Grasshopper.

Yes Cazpuntini, I had decided to ignore you but what can I do, I'm a man and I give in (for now and I don't know for how long). It's clear that you are marked and flagged on the blacklist at number 1 as an enemy of true and honest rock 'n roll (see Born in the USA by Bruce)!!
For the rest, thank you (even without the vote) for your strangely (and worryingly... vomited last night?) sober judgment. Finally, I always follow your musical advice with great interest... imagine... it’s been two days that Necro goes up and down on the turntable (Necro is my cat).

Oh yes, I enjoy these albums! I really like it, but I wouldn’t consider it the best of Young (though that’s strictly a personal opinion, as it is universally regarded as a masterpiece). Let’s say it’s his "Nebraska." A dry and barren album, yet if it had been composed by another artist, it would have received 5/5 with honors. Thank you and for your lovely review!

Ehmm, excuse me GrassHopper, I accidentally put the H in your name! A slip of the tongue after reading your "profile"!

How could I refrain... you'll see that in the end we will review Springsteen's entire discography! However, I truly align myself with Grassoppher here and won't rate the review (because it doesn't exist and because I don't understand the definition of lagnarock associated with the rating 5/5). The album is essential. I’d like to remind you of Atlantic City, Nebraska, Johnny 99, Reason to Believe, Open All Night... It makes me laugh just thinking about who, today, could write (and sing in that way) similar things? I laugh because there’s no one! This is the right answer to those who say that Bruce is made for the masses and to fill stadiums or who writes (has written) trivial things. Ever heard this album, "sbarbatelli"? The negative of Born in the USA. The soul of Bruce.

Pollack. Springsteen the global Vasco, then, because he fills stadiums as far as the eye can see (so popular, hence he goes where the wind blows, therefore for the masses and simple simple)? But how can you make such random and gross equations? I mean, do you really think that only niche singers/bands, those who sell little, those for a few chosen ones are the most sincere? Don’t you ever doubt that even those want to "screw" the CD buyer just like everyone else by proposing, indeed, cool topics, "against," alternative precisely for that specific market segment (or in the more unfortunate cases precisely because their music is so bad that nobody pays attention to it)? According to my view, we are ALL cannon fodder, we are ALL fodder... simply the last wheel of the cart, that is, the consumer. Another consideration, this idea that if it pleases many it's "shit music" (this language might appeal to some other reviewers...)... is a huge nonsense! This site is fantastic precisely because it allows us listeners/consumers to say what we like. Therefore, I would like a minimum of respect just as a music consumer, not as a producer or singer! You don’t like Bruce? Perfect, argue and stop there, but don’t you think that the review is the fruit of a true passion from the one who writes?

Well, I've just arrived and I'm searching through this fantastic site for reviews that resonate with me, and amidst a sea of hipoptechnorapjazz, here I see you... a gem, a review I wish I had written! Congratulations on the review and on the excellent album. Timeless music.

I would start with your phrase: "In short, 'commercial' electronic music, but done properly." And I believe you fully captured the spirit of this album, which, however, does not reach high-quality levels. Probably the previous album was better than this one (by one star), but we are still within the realm of ultra-commercial music. I've always believed that Jarre, while composing his music, was already envisioning the boxes of tomatoes that would be sold with his background...
