Well... this review doesn't really make me laugh... I mean, the jokes about Portuguese B-movie films, the cat in the washing machine, and Johnny Greenwood's tuft, but other than that, I don't know.

Incredible, Odra...YOU don’t know Caravan...by the way, you should fill that gap right away, at least listen to "In the Land of Grey and Pink," which is truly a great example of jazz-prog-pop with more than a hint of psychedelia (I would say the tempos and the drumming are jazzy, but it’s not exactly jazz)...anyway, I don’t know this album, how do you think it compares to "In the Land"? Great Sylvian, beautiful nostalgic review. I particularly resonated with the last sentence (I was born in ’88, so I’m much younger than you) but in general with the whole tone... it gives me a very peculiar feeling to think about the atmosphere of those years, I can’t quite explain it well.

I'd say it's nice. I prefer Four Tet's pauses, which are less fragmented and more musically fluid. Too much cut'n'paste. Anyway, there's a quote from Pasolini's Medea at the beginning of "Take Time." Just to say.

Yes, great review. I really like Mark as a solo artist, especially "Ragpicker's Dream," which is truly a little masterpiece of intimacy. Now I will listen to this.

oh finally someone who has the courage to say it. I agree with Andy, Dylan is a musician, not just a poet. so I don't see anything extraordinary in this album. I don't know, maybe it's just me who gets a bit bored when they make these all-acoustic albums focused mainly on the lyrics and the music isn't exceptional. I mean, idiot wind and tangle up in blue are fantastic, and so is the very repetitive lily rosemary and the jack of hearts, which I quite like, but if I have to listen to Bob, I prefer bringing it all back home and highway 61, in my opinion those are where he really shines.

one of my favorite bands.. it's not their best album, but it's definitely stunning. it's true that it represents a bit of all the variations of their music. a great comeback after four years off... I'd say 4.5/5, but come on.. let's give it a 5. perfect record.
