great review.. this album is truly delightful (in my opinion, almost on par with the second one, where there is that invaluable gem "broken arrow"). yes, the impressions that come through are those you described, stills and young are the ones I like the most from the csny quartet, more than crosby, more than nash. relaxing and evocative. enchanted. it reflects the atmosphere of those years, balancing between not-so-happy historical reality and dreams of peace filled with hope.
