beautiful story. And you also manage to speak at length about the album, which I immediately started downloading, since I can't wait to hear black-eyed dog the versions of his songs without violins.

However, I reconsidered it again, and listening to it once more, I would say it deserves no more than 3.5/4, compared to albums from the same period like "In the land of grey and pink."

great.. it perfectly captures the atmosphere of the album, resigned melancholy, hopelessness (but never pure sadness like, for example, black heart procession), with moments that are very sunny, yet always hiding a sense of veiled pallor... it perfectly represents that feeling of sadness and happiness that, I don't know!, I really can't explain, but maybe Mark describes it wonderfully with that image of him, tired and depressed, being struck by the carefree little girl. this record is fantastic, sometimes it almost makes you want to cry.

Genius. Psychedelic just the way I like it. They referenced the right influences, although I would also include the Fall and the Stranglers from "The Raven" (check out "Don't Bring Harry"). I’ll wait for a few more listens before giving a rating.
