Van Der Graaf Generator The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other

I've listened to "Godbluff" and "World Record" a few times, but honestly, they become a bit too heavy for me. First of all, they lose a bit of their "dark" imprint, which makes them (in my opinion) less captivating and fascinating. And then, they are just too, too wordy... I really like progressive music, but after a few years (let's say around '74), almost all the bands fell into a mannerism that can often be unbearable, prioritizing virtuosity over composition (ELP were the worst in this respect, weren't they? Even though they were already somewhat wordy at the beginning). It's no coincidence that, in my opinion, the best song by VDGG after "Pawn Hearts" is "The Undercover Man," the most melodic and less virtuosic-instrumental...

Well, I see you understood well what I told you... you keep using moderate tones... anyway, it doesn't matter, it was just a suggestion, do as you please.
R.E.M. In Time: The best of 1988-2003

I give it five stars because the included tracks are all beautiful (except for Stand), but how can you leave out two songs like DRIVE and WORLD LEADER PRETEND?????? The collection is quite good for someone who is just starting to listen to them; I say this because for someone in love with R.E.M. like me, it's natural that it feels like a limited work.

Someone criticized the fact that I compared "Fitter Happier" to a Beatles song as if I had blasphemed... Well, if you want to know, for me there is an abyssal gap between Radiohead and the Beatles... I mean in favor of RH.

Yes, highly praised, famous, legendary, fabulous milestone... but apart from a few songs like Come Together, Something, Octopus's Garden, Here Comes the Sun, and Golden Slumbers, they don't really convey that many emotions to me... to judge an album, I mainly rely on what it gives me emotionally, and here it's not all that spectacular... maybe it's because I like the Beatles but I'm not crazy about them...
