beautiful review... as you hope it entices to listen, could you maybe include some samples?

However, to be honest, the second part is very beautiful ("Saeglopur," "milano," "Gong," especially "andvari," "hey satan" - whereas "svo hjlliot" is a bit boring)... so I’ll give it a 4, so it averages out with the 3 I gave it before... in response to Edriv, I think she didn’t give it 0/5, or at least I think she forgot to vote. I still believe that this album should be listened to at two different moments because I can't manage to listen to it all in one go (oh, that’s what happens to me, I completely understand different opinions), which is a flaw that Sigur always has, only that () has the charm and originality that this takk loses partly because it's subsequent to the first one.

I don't agree with the idea that success brings less authenticity; it seems a bit of a cliché to me... the album resembles () quite a bit, a little catchier and more melodic, and there wouldn't be anything wrong with that, but maybe it's a bit tedious... a bit too tedious... when I get to track 7-8, I stop listening because I get bored.. the songs are good in themselves, but there's something missing that was so captivating in the previous album... in my opinion, they should shorten the length of the songs... impressions that could change with subsequent listens... we'll see.

a splendid journey in a medieval village immersed in a forest with a decidedly nighttime setting... mystery, magic, and stornelli... a hidden masterpiece.. thank you ian! and a round of applause also to the reviewer to whom I wish a lot of misfortune for having stolen an album that I wanted to describe myself and for having done it so well that I can't write another review to add anything else.

I get it, as a fan of Urban Hymns, you might feel a bit let down, but it's not that bad, come on... nothing exceptional... however, "lord I've been trying" is really beautiful in my opinion.

clap clap clap.. what a stunning review.. I haven't listened to this album but I’ve seen some clips of the graduate and I perfectly grasp the atmosphere you’re talking about... more or less the same as what you feel when listening to masterpieces like mrs robinson and the unforgettable sound of silence. well done!

Isn't "trawlerman's song" a track from Mark's latest album (Shangri-LA, 2004)? By the way, it's a stunning piece that captures, like the whole new album, the mood of The ragpicker's dream. Perfect review (well done for noticing the harmony between graphics and music). Great Mark.. devil baby, ragpicker's dream, and old pigweed are three masterpieces of melancholy.

addressed to bleak.. yes, anyway I mean that the concept of masterpiece can be relative.. I really like U2, but I completely understand that they might not excite you that much.. basically I gave you 3/5 just because I don’t agree with your opinion, but the way the review is written deserves a bit more.

In my opinion, this conception of the masterpiece as something extremely innovative should be eliminated. Of course, if there’s not only great music but also a high coefficient of innovation, the level rises even higher. But *The Joshua Tree*, *The Unforgettable Fire*, and *Achtung Baby* are masterpieces just for the beauty of the music and the feelings they manage to convey. I'm talking about the thrill that runs through your body during the beginning of "Where the Streets Have No Name" or during Bono's falsettos in "The Unforgettable Fire," or, to stay in the realm of *Zooropa*, during the beautiful piano intro of the title track.
