oh, this is the third review of this album that I'm recommending.. yeah, by now there’s nothing more to say about the piper, but this is really a nice piece, an excellent "descriptive" analysis, different from, for example, Moro’s psychedelic one... the only thing I'm wondering: why only 4 stars? come on, no, the piper deserves 5... in my opinion, it's the most beautiful psychedelic work of the '60s, clearly superior to the flights of Jefferson and 13th Floor, you know, the Americans.. PS: editors, please take a look at the review and correct all those typos, which make the reading flow a bit awkward.

"third," in fact, I don't listen to it all in one go either... I play either the first two tracks or the last two, but it's truly genius... on the other hand, "rock bottom" is a big letdown... anyway, I'm not a great expert in experimental music; so far I haven't gone beyond a few albums by Faust, Can, Chrome, The Pop Group (I would exclude Pere Ubu and Tuxedomoon, they're definitely more "easy," relatively speaking, of course), or even K. Schulze, Zappa, Eno, Amon Düül 2, and "White Light/White Heat" by the Velvet... let's say that I really like them (first and foremost Amon Düül, Faust, Can, and the Velvet) but I feel I wouldn't be able to go beyond that... however, if this lasts only 35 minutes, it could be fine... can you confirm that for me? anyway, beautiful discussion.

great analysis, I can't give you a 5 just because I don't see it as exceptional as you claim. I mean, the feelings it evokes are those you've described, but unfortunately on the second listen it disappointed me a bit, perhaps a little too much déjà vu (for example, it adds little, musically speaking, to "the troubled sleep" and it's true that the use of electronics is definitely not original)...but still beautiful: I still have to decide if it's a 3 or a 4.

The review is really good, but I don't completely agree... I mean, in my opinion, they are all good songs, catchy enough, with Pete's nice nasal voice in great shape. What leaves me perplexed is the fact that they are too "light," not very gripping... It's true, they aren't The Who, it's just Pete alone, but maybe a more aggressive arrangement would have had a better effect... The rating (for the album) is halfway between a 3 and a 4, but since it's Townshend, I give him half a point more.

Jim, why do you disgust yourself as a person? It's a question, you know.

Do you say they resemble "echo & the bunnymen"?

great review, as usual donjunio+neil works perfectly, I haven't listened to the album nor do I think I will. x massimof: it doesn't seem to me that it takes courage to say certain things in the USA, since practically everyone says them... I actually liked the final sentence of the review, the music is the main message of this artist.

in fact I also had my doubts that it was a joke... I don't get the appeal, you know, but it's more likely to be a genuine review rather than that.

Oh my God, what a review... from some things, it might seem like you simply didn't do your research (see Nico's gender: in the end, he has a very deep voice, so if you really know nothing about it, you might easily mistake him for a man) but then you read the comment on "european son" and you realize that it seems you haven't listened to this album at all... the same goes for hard rock... but it seems that Pretazzo and others in the first comments have pointed out all your (serious) inaccuracies, so it's not worth repeating them. I'm giving you a 2 just out of pity (your average score is 1.28...) and because you still write well.
