Spock's Beard Snow

In my opinion, the album is beautiful. I listened to it for an eternity. It suffers, like many concept albums, from a certain "heaviness" that can be bothersome to those who don't love the genre and can bore, in the long run, even the enthusiasts.
In any case, it's a very enjoyable double CD with some gems (the ones mentioned by the reviewer) that ooze passion and great class. Well done, Spock's Beard.

Splendid album, excellent review. It may be, as Emanuele says, that the album was recorded "at home" with POS, or it may be that the band pours its soul into their music even when playing Jingle Bells, but from this little disc shines through all the delicacy and emotional depth that characterize the music of Pain Of Salvation.
The only "flaw" of the album is that it remains, in my opinion, a product for fans, those who are familiar with the songs in their original versions: only by knowing how they "sound" on the CDs can one fully appreciate the enormous arranging work done by Daniel and the band to adapt even very complex and characteristic songs acoustically, as always marked by astonishing interplay of vocal lines.
As for the controversy between Pain Of Salvation and "the others," for me the matter doesn’t even arise: while the POS continue their musical exploration and release increasingly refined and original albums (even at the cost of losing popularity), reaching the highest peaks of good Music, "the others" have become a pale imitation of themselves, forever in search of artistic results that will never return.

Thank you for pointing out these guys whom I was completely unaware of. Reading the great review, I assume I'll like them, so I'm off to get them. Thanks.

A review filled with grammatical errors (...they must have rested on their laurels... but please!!) and typos, seasoned with ridiculous if not absurd phrases (infantile yet chilling female voice?? the timing has been reduced to enhance the immediacy of the album without sacrificing longevity??). If you wanted to encourage listening to this album, you didn't even come close.

Good job, good job. I’ll catch the movie in a flash.

"I CAN'T STAND THE voice cold, algid soul, soporific, pain-relieving and perhaps anti-inflammatory OF Thom Yorke, which gives me no emotions." But then why do you bother listening to and, above all, reviewing Radiohead? A mystery.
