No Poletti, you really haven't understood my spirit: if I like a film, I give it a high rating. If I don't like it, or like it less, a lower rating. That's all there is to it. Whether they are classics (if you want, I can give you a list of very classic and famous films that I adore), or whether they are unknown. Fortunately, I have a very clean relationship with cinema, which honestly I haven't had for a long time with music (I confess I've often been a bit snobbish about many things, but "I'm getting over it": not that you'd care). You, on the other hand, my dear, if you don't have mereghetti or morandini to guide you, you have some difficulty (and it's clear from the fact that you never engage in any discussion). Like the list you posted in your review: full of great films, also full of things that leave me very perplexed, but nonetheless very aligned with classic rankings: where did you get it from? Farinotti? Morandini? Mereghetti? IMDb? Metacritic? And anyway, cui prodest something so unpersonal?

I want to say: if Kill Bill is bad because it copies and is derivative, then so are Woo or The Warriors, who draw heavily from Peckinpah, for example. Then Poletti (who we still don't know if he is serious or just pretending, but I’m not interested in reading between the lines, I’m responding to the lines) does not understand this (or pretends not to understand) because his character has to refer to Mereghetti, who maybe doesn’t say these things.

Look happy, I wouldn't generalize about Sardinians; there are all kinds and qualities of people, just as I imagine everywhere. I was curious to know what you think about Woo, since for me he's one of the directors who (especially in his major films) really makes me cringe. I like the American period; I can "tolerate" Bullet in the Head (even though if we were to make a report on all the "naiveties" mentioned above, I think we wouldn't finish anytime soon), while The Killer is one of the most ridiculous films I've ever seen, possibly ever. :) Kitano, on the other hand, is an excellent director, but indeed he represents a different kind of cinema. Regarding Tarantino and Kill Bill: I said it's postmodern, but that's just an observation; I'm not praising it for that. However, it's incredibly entertaining (for me), and that's a great quality, postmodernism or not. Of course, one can think whatever they want, but to claim that it's poor because it's undeniably derivative is rather superficial.

I mean, according to you, The Warriors of the Night > Kill Bill and The Mask of the Demon > One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Is there even anything to comment on? And what do you want to say by mentioning that I'm Sardinian? Come on, make me laugh.

Poletti, you're an idiot, and you really don't understand a thing. I was just reading in the other review and you go on and on about a hilarious (post-modern) Kill Bill, and you like the Warriors of the Night? Then I saw a 4 for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and a 5 for The Mask of the Demon. And you're coming to bother me?

And then I would be curious to know what you would say about the films of the highly acclaimed John Woo at this point :)

Ah yes, it's true, I didn't remember that... you say SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER that it's ridiculous for him to run away? But after all, he's going crazy, right? :D END SPOILER Anyway, I understand what you mean. Especially with genre films (and not just them, and not just them!), certain, let's call them naivetés, are extremely common. In comparison, the hallway of fear comes off as very sober and mature. Recently, for example, I watched for the first time the supposed cult classic "The Warriors," and there, forget about perplexity; they dive into nonsense at every turn...

Ridiculous? Why happy? In my opinion, it remains a film that is absolutely worth watching, quick, dynamic, in short, aged really well.

But since for me deciding whether something is really terrible or just very terrible seems rather uninteresting, I prefer to use just one for the things I don't like.
