Muffins, the launeddas players go on for very long periods, it's the basis of the instrument that is played just like that, without interruptions.

No, don't worry. I know, like you, that it's a really difficult technique. The players of launeddas use it, and I've been told (though I don't know if it's true) that they spend a lot of years training with a glass and a straw to make bubbles (now I've seen that some use a kind of bellows). I've also heard that there were some who picked up this technique on the sax, but I didn't think it was a common thing; honestly, I can't even think of an example of "continuous sound" when I think of saxophonists...

Great suggestion, thank you. I haven't heard anything about Garrett yet, I'll start from here. @Contempla: what other saxophonists are there who use circular breathing?

I would even be harsher, because if it’s not outright horrible (like, I don’t know, the latest I Am Legend: that’s truly unpresentable stuff) it’s at least ugly and very, very clever. I think of the criticisms often leveled at Tarantino for his films, when people talk about "sterile citationism" and that kind of stuff, and most of the time I don’t agree with them. Well, for me those criticisms fit perfectly for this film; it references the slasher films of the '70s, but instead of all that nice decay, we get plastic. And by the way, it’s pretty boring too.
Anyway, Nick, I think you're the fiftieth person to say that the second one deserves a lot more, so at this point I’ll have to check it out...

I don't know the film, and it doesn't seem like an essential work... but reviews of non-essential films are also necessary, and this one is well done.

Bellassai, right after the merciless, perhaps his best one.
Roman Polanski Il Coltello Nell'Acqua

beautiful, and congratulations on the choice. One of Polanski's best films and perhaps the most underrated (by the way, perhaps the most visually stunning as well), among so many greats, if I had to choose two, I would say this one and The Tenant. (4.5)

>>>In my opinion, it's not serious; I've seen other videos where he just messes around. They aren't funny at all, but he only posts nonsense on YouTube. Spitty is genius comedy; in a couple of months, he'll end up on Zelig, he's even being talked about on the radio.<<< Oh damn, if he's faking it, he totally got me; I mean, with Metal Carter, it's obvious he's just fooling around, but he seemed authentic. Anyway, check out this Queen cover: way better than Malmsteen.

I already knew that Tave video, it's beautiful: one for my Alfa, two for my Alfa, three for my girl (girl? I don't know) on the hood of the Alfa.
