But what a wonder... I'm listening to the samples now and they are great, AT FIRST SIGHT

Shall we start the discussion? I'm making a shopping list... Anyway, the more I think about it, the more the idea of a forum about the big bands in our country seems great to me... I'll put up a sign saying "no Ligabue and Punkreas fans allowed." No, actually, that’s a bit snobby... and I don't see anything wrong with loving, I don’t know, Lacuna Coil; the singer is a real beauty...

There are some nice little bands even if, of course, usually only a friend of theirs and the drummer's mom know them. Sure, they don't go to the Festivalbara, and you have to search, search, search... but someone manages to "break through," like the Uzeda, who are very good (produced by Albini, and I would like to see). It would be great to open a forum dedicated to the hidden gems from our own home.

scroll down to the bottom of the page and see where it says "I've changed my mind, etc." I don't even pay attention to it anymore, my inbox is flooded with spam. Even from Debase, in fact. We should really change this mechanism...

Come on, you took it personally for the movie!

I know that situation perfectly well, "fortunately" the Cccp aren't really popular here. I should add that I viscerally hate Spara Juri, precisely because if you talk to someone and ask "do you know the Cccp?" 9 times out of 10 they'll respond humming "Spara Juri spara...". Then I join you, I detest Che Guevara t-shirts (idiots with the shroud of Che Guevara, as the Elettrojoyce used to say), raised fists, and similar nonsense. The After and Marlene aren't bad, they're certainly not the forefathers that magazines would have you believe, but in the Italian desert they’re already something. I've also met Agnelli, and he didn’t seem like the type to act all high and mighty, whereas Godano gives me the impression of someone who walks an inch above the ground like a love hovercraft, if you’ll allow me the quote. I'm really curious to hear the records from Snowdonia; they say that in Italy this label is a little happy island—do you know anything about it?

Then again, the Area also drew from other groups, but the fact of being derivative is not a bad thing in itself... in terms of sound, they remind me a lot of the early Mahavishnu, even if Tofani is clearly not McLaughlin, and also the early Soft Machine.

As for CCCP, I don't know what you've heard, but I have an adoration for the rougher and more genuine ones. I would say the trilogy of "Ortodossia," "Affinità Divergenze," and "Live in Punkow," which I consider to be the best Italian live album, despite my great ignorance. I haven't heard "Areazione" yet, though ;) After "Affinità," I like them less, especially musically (as a lyricist, Ferretti is exceptional for me). I also think they're very original, without trying to experiment at all costs. Then: right now I detest Vasco (as a musician; as a person, he's somewhat likable to me), but his earlier works had the power of sincerity. I'm referring to the album with "Fegato spappolato," but if you say they were at the level of the early CCCP, we need to talk about it in person ;)
