Stefano, I absolutely agree, not all music has to be super heavy and "intelligent," but what I think you can read in the post above: I also like to relax, but it's a fact that Galas, who is truly great and has things to say, isn't followed by anyone, while many metal groups like Deicide are gaining followers and not everyone can understand that it's all nonsense; many kids even end up believing it, and the beasts of Satan didn't listen to Jazz, without wanting to demonize rock and roll for no reason. Violence isn't justified if behind the microphone there's someone who doesn't know what they're saying, or worse, knows perfectly well and is taking the piss out of kids who don’t have the cultural means to understand it. I don't mind Ok Computer. Kid A and Amnesiac are very good albums. How to Disappear is a nice track, very evocative. From here to say "this and Kid A are among the greatest albums in history for their artistic value" is a big leap. In electronic music, there are records that are truly masterpieces, and I wouldn't include these... And more than to Sigur Rós, who if I'm not mistaken are also later, I think the group's debts are primarily towards Autechre, as Josi said, but also musicians like DJ Shadow (with whom the RH have also collaborated) and Squarepusher, who as far as I know is York(e?)'s absolute idol...
