Enè, I didn't know about this second personality of yours, how can I say, more...full. One, no one, and a hundred thousand. I'm a bit disoriented, even by the turgidity of the nickname. "In black and white" is the one dedicated to your mother? I must greatly disappoint you: I really don't like it, and I know it very well...forgive me. Give me other study material. I'm a certified ignoramus on Battisti; I only have "la batteria il contrabbasso" and I've listened to an album where there was a prog band, I can't remember if it was Pfm, le Orme, or who, with some really long titles...I'll definitely look for it. Oh, messenger doesn't want to cooperate; don't you use any peer-to-peer?

Guys, when the time comes for my hospitalization too (but with me, Alzheimer is racing ahead), I hope to be admitted to your same ward at Villa Arzilla. Not just for you, of course, but also for the nurse. :))

Frigid me? Never, my young and sharp love, I am a volcano of passion. My criticism of your reviews was meant to be understood only that way, but it doesn't mean I don't like them, and your advice is always precious, don't take it badly for a critique, on the contrary, criticize me too, hurt me with your dialectic, whip me yes :D. Examples? By the cartload, but if you want them strictly musical, be more precise, otherwise I'll shoot randomly. Uhm, brainy music: I love the Residents, free jazz (hated by Battiato, sigh) and Ligeti with his theories on micropoliphony. Musicians with abstruse and/or hermetic lyrics: Dylan, early De Gregori (what could he have meant?), CCCP. My favorite poet is T.S. Eliot, my favorite writers are Pessoa and Kafka. I adore Lynch. But I don't know if these are the examples you wanted, and you've made me sway quite a bit. On form as well as content, I agree, it’s the peacock’s wheel that bothers me (I have a young singer-songwriter friend whom I constantly tease about this, I'm really annoying). Rather, tell me a song by Carmen that you find truly worthy (and the album where I can find the song) and I might listen to it today itself. Ah... no, wait, I forgot. You talk to me about the recovery of the Italian language, but are you sure that a good recovery consists in using an elevated and refined language in every context? The only person to do that in Italy, I believe, is the late Carmelo Bene, perhaps also the good Ghezzi, but I don’t think the grocer understands their orders. I find it more effective to use different registers, depending on the situation; it's more efficient. And then, if you want to call me an idiot, you don’t say “marrano.”

C'mon, it's not Odra, look that "hey man, what a voice Demetrio Nèèh!" was done with the double voice technique, and I have to explain everything to you, in short :)

Nooo, don't say that, you know I care about you... and when have there ever been disputes between us? The only one, perhaps, is about Consoli and Battiato, which I admit I know much more superficially than you (just as you know CCCP superficially :)). However, I have never understood it, I'm doing it now for Consoli: you are greatly mistaken if you think I only like simple and linear things; in fact, I enjoy certain convoluted stuff, some artistic puzzles (and if you knew my tastes, you would understand). I've listened to a bit of Consoli's work, and I've also seen her in concert, and she gives the impression of someone who revels in feeling skilled and cultured. Now, I don't doubt her cultural background; she plays the guitar very well, and she and her band create some nice arrangements (a bit of everything, from bossa nova to hard rock to psychedelia that takes all the minds away), but nothing shakes the idea that it’s a sterile exercise in style: in certain songs (like, I don't know, "fiori d'arancio"), you can write "preamboli," "ipertrofico," "lieve cadenza d'oltralpe" as much as you want, the song is still bad, and by so heavily using the thesaurus instead of making it sound like a rock singer with a band, it feels like a golf club sipping tea at five o'clock. I like pop, a bit less the ostentatious erudition, and among the "smokes and laser rays," I also include certain self-referential language... the ball is in your court.

I also knew about Mason's Ferrari collection. At least it makes me smile when I hear "money get away":)

Dude, do you have the concert at the Elfo? :D I had downloaded that rock n’ roll one, but it didn’t really excite me (and I don’t even like the Rebels). It’s been a while since I listened to it, but I think it was the one where he did the song that put the sheep to sleep, the drug-song and the cartoon noises...

I know very well that by saying "it's the people who don't strive to understand," you just wanted to lure me into your trap, right? I've figured out the trick, but I'm falling for it anyway. And now, let's start with the love.

Ege, put some samples in, Ege, put some samples in, Ege, put some samples in. I really can't find them in pirtupir, and I've been looking for ages (long live copyleft:)). Great review, here on deB you're probably the one with tastes most similar to mine, so I go in blind. Oh, have I already asked you for samples?:)
