A declaration of everlasting love, more than a review: for example, Spiritual, which you consider to be very well done, I find truly ugly. If I remember correctly, even De Andrè said it was filler and one of the worst things he had done. Of course, Preghiera in gennaio is an absolute masterpiece, one of the most beautiful pieces from his entire magnificent discography. Carlo Martello (but is the text by Paolo Villaggio only, or both of them?) and La stagione del tuo amore (a greatly underrated piece, well done for talking about it so brilliantly) are beautiful, as are bocca di rosa and Via del Campo (whose girl, I wouldn't bet was actually... a girl) two classics. In short, 5 great songs in my view. I give it a 3 (or rather 3.5) because the music seems to have aged rather poorly. But it is obviously a record that anyone who loves Faber must have.

Yes, but which singer-songwriter albums do you like? I completely understand if you don’t like them, but I’m much less convinced by the argument of “already heard it.” Almost all rock is “already heard,” or nearly so. For me, some tracks are truly brilliant, not so much for the lyrics (some great, others much less so), but for the beautiful melodies and the care and finesse of the arrangements. I have to say that before this album, they had left me quite indifferent...
