Popol Vuh Hosianna Mantra

But tell me, does "Hosianna" just barely beat Bennato's record? By a hair's breadth? ;))

splendid, and in my opinion this is not difficult listening at all, compared to other kraut records...the guy who lives here on the floor above mine, new age fits perfectly, I would have included it too.
Afterhours Hai paura del buio?

Ah, the rating for the review, even though I don't share the unconditional love.

look, I know their entire discography and I've listened to them a lot and with pleasure, but for me, two, at most three stars (or dots? or points? what a troubling dilemma) according to DeBaser. But two more.

What a super groovy bassist Stuart Zender is. Great great great bassist.
Joni Mitchell Blue

Little to say, really. A super classic of singer-songwriter music, and THE album par excellence that I would recommend to anyone wanting to discover female songwriting. Arranged in a sublime way, the voice is incredible, the songs are more beautiful than the last... honestly, I haven't listened to it in a while because it would bore me compared to other less perfect albums by Mitchell (Hejra, but also Mingus and Court and Spark I prefer to listen to more), but there's little reason to be stingy with the ratings. A true must-have for any collection.

Emanuele, aside from musicians, can you suggest some albums that are worth having? Please, something that's not completely hard to find, okay :) I'm especially interested in cool, given Miles' scathing review, or maybe some titles of modern jazz... but I’m open to anything. Thanks!

Oh, Emanuele, hi. I think you overlook an aspect: namely, that there can be musicians with not exceptional training who manage to compensate for technical shortcomings with sensitivity and an original musical vision. That you don’t appreciate, just look at electric Miles. I don’t know, among the musicians you mentioned as underrated, there's for example Eddy Palermo, of whom I recently heard Meu Brasil Brasileiro, where he reinterprets pieces by Djavan and Jobim. Undeniable technique, but I found the album, while pleasant, a bit dull and very conventional, even in the improvisation. I mean, in my opinion, it’s not enough to have great technical and musical preparation and knowledge of the style. A train of thought: it seems to me that Palermo has played or is playing with Di Battista, what do you think of him?

From the biography, in quotes: "this unexpected success leads Gianni Celeste to leave his mechanical job..."

Damn, this man is awesome! link rotto I was wondering, looking at the cover of his greatest hits from vol. 1 to vol. 4, if his hairstyle could be counted among the greatest hits.
