Arianna, I also find it amazing, especially "Good Morning Captain," which is sort of the climax of the album and the Slint's style. It was just this story about songs that aren't really songs and the deconstruction that has always left me quite perplexed. For me, Slint's tracks are great because... because they are great, well arranged, well composed, emotional. Not because they deconstruct. Deconstructing, rock not rock but with rock instruments... but what does that mean? :D

Even though I really like Slint, I've never understood the story of deconstruction, and it always seemed a bit wanky to me. Their post-rock is kind of the anti-diva progressive for the timid, in my opinion (in the raspa mood for me too). I mean, tempo changes, complex structures without the unnecessary grandeur of progressive rock. A bit oversimplified, but it roughly conveys my idea of post-rock.

And anyway, just having mentioned one of the greatest blues and one of the greatest punk songs of all time (well, at least of what I've listened to), earns you a five. "You look just like an Elvis from HELL!"

I remain with the Fire of Love party. I do not agree that Miami is a misstep; on the contrary. For me, there's no contest: Miami and Las Vegas are great albums, but Fire of Love stands above, in the empyrean of perfect records. Especially in terms of fun. And where do you find the liberating scream of Preaching the Blues?

Are you almost sure? To hell with preconceptions. The first one is the best, but pretend you haven't read this. Take "Faust IV", feel pieces like Krautrock, Jennifer, Just a second. Then after Faust 4, take "so Far". And then if you want, we can talk about it again. Of course, listening to records to prove something isn’t exactly the best. Oh, well. Enjoy them.

Yes Marco, but in fact if you read above I believe that Vai is a huge wasted talent. In my opinion, the problem with too much technique, the competitions among guitarists to see who has the longest one, is that they forget they are making music. Vai has the numbers to do much more, but unfortunately he doesn't because he always has to prove he is the best. The curse of hyper-virtuoso guitarists.

Look, Lucam, by Daniele, I don't have everything but: "Terra mia," "Nero a metà," "Vai mo," "Sciò," "Bella mbriana," I have them, and I know them, and I appreciate them. But don’t even compare them in the slightest to the value of the Faust (and you have the lesser album of the four, without a doubt).
