Demetrio Stratos Cantare La Voce

But how the hell did I write this? Well, maybe the meaning can still be inferred.

but no, Odra and Jim, no controversy. I explained myself poorly but caz got it. The point of the discussion is that, no matter how fascinating, incredible, and everything else, they remain experiments to show what can be done. They don't create songs or pieces of music with "meaning" (bear with me, I know the expression is forced). For example, Monk makes ultra-experimental records like Stratos (also the double vocals, by the way), but those are complete tracks. These are exercises. If a guitarist discovers new techniques and records himself while practicing, is it a masterpiece album no matter how revolutionary the things may be? :)

oh god. Seen as an experiment, extremely fascinating. As a record, with all the love for Stratos, no and no. :)

There was one thing I had to do, and here it is, damn the greed. Phenomenal album, it has become my favorite Italian record of all time. Thanks to Aristarco and Odradek. Unfortunately, I found out that the reprint of a miserable number of copies has sold out. Let's hope they do something. They must.

I have it but I haven't listened to it yet. Everyone is talking about it as one of the cornerstones of progressive. Yes, I'll listen to it one of these days. Great recommendation.
Sun Ra & His Solar-Myth Arkestra The Solar-Myth Approach (Vol. 2)

What a debate, I was just joking. Considering your preferences for Sun Ra, your discourse is perfectly coherent regarding the residents. Speaking of the funkier and Miles Davis-like Sun Ra, do you know Lanquidity? When I heard it, I thought of you :)

Great Zion, finally even Sun Ra on Debaser, with an amazing review. You're crazy anyway: the Residents are his children (though I’m not really into "Space is the Place")! The problem with Sun Ra is that he pulls no punches. The first listens are always, inevitably, and completely indigestible. His more free works are monstrous bricks. It’s also true that if you have the patience (and you really need a lot of it) to insist, you discover amazing things. Atlantis is fantastic; if it’s around that area, I’ll definitely take it.

I need to listen to it again, but for now, I really didn't like it at all. For me, who loves singer-songwriters... is that serious?
Allan Holdsworth Metal Fatigue
Voto:
Holdsworth is a great guitarist, infinitely better than the neoclassical and shred hacks. However, he too remains somewhat trapped in his style, which is nonetheless original and highly refined. His works are almost always quite dignified, but never masterpieces. I prefer the way he plays to what he plays: the style of the albums is better. Among these, Metal Fatigue, Devil Take the Hindmost, and Panic Station are excellent pieces, although I think the singer is truly mediocre.
