Lost rivers clearly marked. Uff, what a sweat :D Anyway, I wasn't just referring to the voices, it was a more general discussion. Oh well, that's fine too, at least I've managed to squeeze a title out of you. :))

Ah, Sainkho, where do I begin?

But I know why you don’t tell me: because you think, “Oh no, I gave a 4 to desertshore, now if I say it has uglier records, what kind of impression will I make?” Jokes aside, my list would be very short. The ones I consider the greatest you surely already know. Definitely Dolmen music by Monk (Dying... dying... dying), Escalator over the hill by Bley (but also half of her production), Maria by Siberry, even if just for one track, this one (desertshore), Geek the girl by Germano, something by Galas, then... I don’t know. Come on, it’s your turn. Check.

I "No, no, I want the most beautiful ones!" I would have never said because that would mean I am sure you know the entire female production worldwide. Instead, simply believing that you have good taste, or at least tastes that I like, and with decades of listening behind me, I limit myself to asking you for your favorite records. That was Alfiere in c7, my dear.

oh my, a very difficult game of chess! Let's do this: castling. Thank goodness I don't know you in person. I can picture the scene: I arrive at your place "Odradek, can you pass me ten records of maidens?" - "I don't know, it's hard to choose the best ones" and I say "come on, just pick some of your favorites" - "yes, but some are bad" and I say "come on, I trust you" "no, you go first." I mean, damn it. :)

Anyway, note both Kendra and the other one, Saincho.

but even under torture you wouldn’t take a stance. Alright, I get it. I've heard too few albums to draw conclusions. Among my preferences, besides the ones you mentioned, I would definitely include Carla Bley (bow, another bow) and Jane Siberry. And Lisa Germano definitely deserves a spot; she’s a multi-instrumentalist with the real deal... well, not those, but she’s certainly among my favorites. Albums? Lallero, only if you take a stance.;D

and also including jazz, R&B, classical, electronic, Russian choirs, and whatever else you want, obviously. Come on, don’t be precious.

no no, I wanted the one about the records! I knew you would somehow sidestep, damn it (Monk is absolutely great). Of those you mentioned, I've never heard of this Sainkho N., and I only know Kendra Smith by name. Now I'll take a look, but let's get back to the list. Yeah, it's arbitrary whatever you want, but who really cares, obviously.

Odra, at this point, I'm really curious to know your top ten female albums! And don’t start beating around the bush saying you can’t do it or you can’t choose... :)
