Yes, Akira is definitely among the best. What the hell are you missing the twenty percent for that I didn't understand?

I forgot to include Matsumoto among the best, before someone comes at me with a stick.

Psycho, I share your view, although with some exceptions. Paranoia Agent by Kon (considered the Lynch of Japanese animation) is not bad, it’s an adult series that doesn’t hesitate to delve into disturbing and unpleasant themes, albeit in a fairly subtle way. A bit intricate and not entirely resolved, but very far from the classic child-oriented series. Otomo has made some beautiful things, though: you’re right about Steamboy, which, beyond its sensational technical aspects (even more so than Innocence, but of course, it’s the most expensive animated film ever to come out of Japan) is just okay. However, aside from Akira, I would say that Memories is worth it; among other things, the third episode is even before the infamous Russian Ark, the first film entirely shot in a single take, and the first has been compared to nothing less than Solaris and 2001 (a bit of an exaggeration, but it gives you the idea). Anyway, if you haven’t seen it yet, check out Angel's Egg (tenshi no tamago) by Oshii, which, alongside the best of Miyazaki and something like Eva, is probably the best thing ever to come out of Japanese anime.

s4doll, the attack of the cyborgs could be the title of the "reduction" of Innocence. A montage of backgrounds from the film without the main characters but with the soundtrack, an incredibly tedious (to watch) 40-minute music video. At that point, it would be better to just have the disc. Of cosmic uselessness.

Honestly Sanjuro, with all due respect: applause for you for reviewing the Monk, but you could have done it a bit better, perhaps simply mentioning something about her relationship with dance, for example. After all, you linked to Scaruffi, whose entry is perfect, so I appreciate the effort to give visibility to this album. Of course, I think Odra is right, the comparison to punk is very misleading. My favorite album that matters is still Dolmen music, absolutely fantastic.

I'm just chiming in to respond to Airone: I agree that even though it's a great album, it's certainly not transcendent. Damn, the comparison is worthless and I'm sure it'll be reiterated (who will be the first?), but how many times are the Faust worth the Crimson? Greetings from snobbilandia.
