Anyway, now, talking to normal people. @saputello: they weren’t competing between the 70s and 80s, but actually mocking the idea that value comparisons can be made: both decades were important for different reasons and genres, my favorite albums are among other things from the 70s (definitely not the dipparpol, my god), but the 80s also produced extraordinary things.

Good job, Walter. In fact, a lot of people go to see Vacanze di Natale because it's objectively a great film. On the other hand, nobody goes to see Bergman because it sucks; it's natural, it's just the quirks of cinema buffs. Of course, Coltrane's jazz compared to Take That pales in comparison, not having sold nearly as much, because being the snob he was, he tried to make difficult music that didn't reach people's hearts. "Up until 15 years ago, getting into the charts meant being, as an idiot who knew just a little more than you and me, alias Darwin, a product of natural selection." Damn, I just realized that Bon Jovi are worth more than all the snobbish records I listen to with a rock-centric mindset.

very clear, but it's a load of nonsense. The 80s rock produced great things, and if the comparison were really Led Zeppelin-Deep Purple, well, then the 80s that festwca or I or a lot of others have in mind would be enormously more important.

Yes, but for example, a Nic Jones has little to envy him as an acoustic guitarist. Indeed. Anyway, by excessive mythologizing, I meant that, in my opinion, which doesn't matter, none of his three albums is a masterpiece; they are just very nice (and who cares, you might rightly say). Then enough, I really distinguish between my thoughts in a very pedantic way, but hey, I am pedantic.

Fusillo, since I like Drake (I think it's clear): can you tell me what would be revolutionary about his way of playing guitar?

I prefer this one instead of many reviews blinded by love for Drake, a duplicate that surprisingly fits, partly because I've always believed that the mythologizing around him has been excessive (like for almost everyone who dies young in rock): there are many acoustic albums of at least equal level, if not superior imho. That said, it's hard for me to choose among Drake's three, they are all very beautiful, this one is the best arranged, but I find them all more or less on the same level. I also agree on the standout tracks, but it doesn't take much to agree on Northern Sky, at the Chime, and Fly. However, I don’t agree about the vocals; I think it’s very beautiful.

I don't know what you all mean: for me, a series of spaceships with a super cool/super strong superhero who always gets it right, an incredibly strong chick with huge tits, and situations a bit adolescent like Lupin, it is, samurai code or not. The soundtrack being one of the best ever made for an animated series is undeniable, even though it has its limitations (listening to the CD at home by yourself after a couple of listens can get annoying). But, and here you really need to explain this to me, Charley... Sun Ra?!
