In my opinion, it's because in '52 the punk (or hardcore?) cleaners came out, because they didn't give a damn and just swept a couple of times and then shoved everything under the rug.

beautiful the soul coughing josi, and speaking of impossible contaminations: one of them joined one of the cop shoot cop (a heavy industrial band), and the guitarist of the jesus lizard (a super heavy hardcore band) to form a group romantic in the style of tom waits, the firewater. It's clear they weren't easily horrified.
