Mercury Rev See You On The Other Side

the noisiest track was chasin a bee. And anyway, you'll never be able to detach yourself from the records of your adolescence. Be reasonable, if you judged dark side with the same cynical and ruthless eyes you judge this, you'd bury that album.

come on, come on. Aside from the fact that the little voice was already there in car wash hair, if you really take a look, even in the loudest piece of the whole repertoire, beneath all the distortions, there's a Malgioglio soul. If we need to (rightly) talk about little bows and trallallà, we can do that with deserter (which I like, by the way), then let’s go with all is dream which wasn’t bad anyway, and then the pitiful drop of whatever, I can't even remember the title. Here, amid the candies and confetti, there was still a lot of imagination and distortions; dark side is grandpa's rock by comparison.

I mean, it's like saying that the Fausti from the first to the fourth have become gay. Alright, the first one is delirious and the fourth, despite some grand moments, doesn't quite reach it, but throw them away.

There’s no denying that Yerself is a beautiful album, but part of their charm, if we’re being technical, comes from their being gay. Then there’s the one who praises Dark Side of Stamink; this album puts the Pink Floyd bestseller to shame, and if you like Yerself and Boces, you’ll surely like this one too, forget about Salvicchiano. Chasin a bee, frittering (Black and blue! You can't forget that!), cancer cell, Rockette's kick, Snorry mouth, Empire state, and Racing— the best of Mercury.

I find this, unlike the opposite, to be quite overrated. I really like holes, tonite, and endlessly, but the rest seems much less inspired to me. In my opinion, this has a lot more imagination, especially empire state and racing the tide, which I consider among their absolute best tracks.

I must say the parallel with Thievery Corporation intrigues me. Beautiful Mauri, as always.

very underrated, the perfect meeting point between the psychedelic mercury rev and the baroque pop ones. In my opinion, it's better than deserter, just to say.

I too, as a metalhead, but I really like the big voice on I have the moon.

josi_, I’m happy to support you as well. Your theory and Caz’s about the Gilmourians are too true.

Oh, but I believe you, Dave, that you heard them. Wow, do I believe you. You heard them all. How can anyone not believe you?
