Fidia, I think this is one of the few times I find myself in disagreement with you about movies. Of all Lynch's films, aside from Dune which I can't stand and INLAND which I haven't seen yet, this is the one I like the least. It seems a bit too sentimental to be truly touching. I much prefer the other linear and sentimental film, a true story, which I find wonderful.

I didn't know about the religious cult, but what do they do? The film is beautiful, even though I am part of the Sacred Mountain party, which is one of the films that shocked me the most when I saw it. From what I read around, some accuse Jodo's surrealism of being naive; in my opinion, he is the psychedelic director par excellence, and some of his images have an impressive visionary power.

Of all Kubrick's films, after the cheesy Spartacus (which, after all, isn't even by Kubrick), this is the one I like the least. Of course, it’s not bad, and the class is always there, but for me, it's not among the essentials.

one of my ten favorite Italian films, and one of the funniest. Monicelli is a master, great actors, beautifully filmed. What more could you want?

Fidia, maybe they exist (I read somewhere that there are some cases), but obviously they don’t go through official circuits, you certainly won't find the listing on IMDb. Then there are various "surrogates" for refined tastes, the extreme supervero tv, a sort of cinerotten like Faces of Death (which is all fake), or the infamous "ultime grida dalla savana" where I know (I haven't seen) that a lion or a tiger feasts on a tourist, along with other series of stolen footage featuring suicides, amputations, and various delights.
