Scaruffi can say whatever he wants; we can also: not care.
Claudio Lolli Ho visto anche degli zingari felici

RealAXL: I understand you regarding "Michel," but you should know that here Lolli managed to go further, both in intensity and in lyricism. Have the courage to listen to these gypsies who will make good company for the memory of "Michel." :)

Manticore: Who would dare to question the technical-creative abilities of the English trio?
Emerson, Lake & Palmer Pictures At An Exhibition

Beatboy: you could always send Manticore a note of the musical score!

..... AND WE WERE ENLIGHTENED WITH IMMENSITY..... ......I would say, instead: "And we illuminated ourselves with immensity"

Tikal: I read with interest your digression on the meaning, even etymological (and more or less contextualized), of the word genius, but allow me to attribute it only in certain cases and in certain situations to certain people. As much as I can admire Mr. Wilson's multifaceted activity and appreciate the exuberant creativity that makes him so unique, that alone is not enough for me to believe that I am confronted with a genuine form of genius. Patience.

@Sylvian1982: I'm sorry to correct the corrector, but let me say that Ciao 2001, while being the most reputable of music magazines, was NOT the only one; if my memory serves me right, I also bought "Qui Giovani," "Muzak," and even "Gong." Do you remember?

That Scaruffi is not an idiot is certain. Neither is Giuliano Ferrara, for that matter. However, I would say the point is how things are treated. And how they can be received. If the man in question often raises a ruckus, there must be some reason for it...

I’ve read all the recent comments, and it seems to me that we’ve ended up in a dead end. Talking about music along with the emotions it evokes has nothing to do with newspapers, charts, Scaruffi, or anyone like him. If the discussion is framed in these terms, I fear we are really off track; I don’t want to waste time unnecessarily. Let’s rather talk about Trilogy, which I (re)listened to last night. It still makes me vibrate. Over thirty years old, and it doesn’t show it!
