Ah, right... now I remember. Well, that's old news. If I think about it now, a nice Ciao 2001, maybe revised and corrected, wouldn't be so bad after all... Take care!

@Sylvian: Dear greetings to you too; to be honest my memory is a bit shaky on certain things; I really don't remember the thing about ELP, but if you say so... It doesn't really matter but... Have you listened to "Prezens" by David Torn on ECM? If so, what do you think? See you soon!

....To think that in '74 ELP filled stadiums..... . Well, Lake could certainly say "C'est La Vie" now. I’ve listened to Palmer again and again over the last 15 years (in fact, just yesterday I bought another one of the eight-disc box sets from the Bootleg Vaults Series by Manticore), but beyond the preparation, energy, and great technique, it seems that the man has settled into a standardized rehashing of now-obsolete expressive modules. It pains me to say it, but as an old ELP fan, I believe I must also be objective. I much prefer Keith (by the way, he just released a new work under the name "Keith Emerson Band") who still comes across in a remarkably brilliant and fresh way, even with the solo "Emerson Plays Emerson" from some time ago. Better not to speak of Lake. He should first go through a nice long diet and then have surgery on his vocal cords. I’m sorry to be so brutal, but his current voice is really striking in a not exactly positive way. Nevertheless, I’m very happy for the reviewer who got to enjoy, from what I understand, a show with a nice power trio!

Thank you, Supersoul, for the clarification. It's the second time in a short period that I'm forced to ask for enlightenment on types of "stimulants": I had the same experience with Francesco Bianconi (the one from Baustelle), to whom I asked (naively on my part...) what this MDMA was, due to their song "Charlie Fa surf (quanta roba si fa...)". Now I know, but in my day (back in 1865) we focused on other things (...). A clarification to support the thesis of the spatial-hippie origin/direction related to the Ozrics: just listen to "The Other Side Of The Sky" - from "Angel's Egg" by Gong, or "A Sprinkling Of Clouds" - from "You", also by Gong, or "Live Herald" by Steve Hillage (guitarist for Gong) to immediately realize the origins of the Ozric sound. Try it to believe..... . Regards.

I would say that I agree with CPTGAIO regarding Blackfield. Personally, I found "Schoolyard Ghosts" very beautiful, exciting, and at times very intense. It is true, as the reviewer claims, that the duo may have taken a step back from the direction of experimentation in the ambient field. However, the result of the regained song format is lush, aesthetically polished, and emotionally engaging. As for Bowness's voice, I have heard many conflicting opinions. I believe it is essentially a matter of timbre or expressive mode, so you either like it or... nothing. A note on Wilson, another character who evidently evokes mixed opinions: I believe that with the various projects he has going, he can boast (which is not common) a surprising creative reservoir. It is admirable that he puts in so much perseverance and confidence in the "cause." If his seemingly "snobbish" demeanor bothers someone... well, I can understand that. I conclude by inviting those who love romanticism, minimalism, but also simple yet intense harmonies to listen to this album, which I consider one of the most beautiful by this unusual group.

I would say that I agree with Arnoldlayne also for the nice name. I, too, am "one of those from the '70s" who lives well without that stinky garbage generated by the cathode ray tube. Sorry for Angela (not Lansbury) and maybe Blob, but for the rest... Pure Shit! And what's worse is that for the spineless it constitutes (and here I'm being serious) a genuine drogasoporiferoprogressivamenterinc oglionente. A bit like Marx considered religion in the late nineteenth century for the people. All to the advantage of the "strong" powers. Cheers!!
