....Sorry Acqua, but.... what or who are you referring to?

Here I am, Macaco. Great album, really. Not to sound like an old-timer but... I listened to it (thanks to the persistent urges from my friend Marco) right after its release and I was surprised. The fact that an artist isn't famous, as we well know, is by no means synonymous with mediocrity, but often reflects unfortunate or complicated circumstances. I had almost forgotten about such a "dense" work... Well done, Macaco! When can we expect a review on Oscar Castro-Neves or Egberto Gismonti? Since you're in that area...

In August, thanks to the holidays, I missed this piece. Giovanni, here too, showcases synthesis, expertise, and knowledge (that thing about the mellotron) as well as emotions that I appreciated quite a bit. The style is exemplary, and I consider the album one of the greatest masterpieces of that big-headed Froese and of all German electronic music of the 70s. I didn’t understand the remake he did of the same three years ago (just like regarding "Phaedra": as wonderful as the original is, the remake is almost unlistenable). Moreover, what he has done solo or with TD after "Stratosfear" seems to me, at least compared to the production from '68 to '76, really meager.

The usual beautiful review/endorsement from GiovanniA. Like with Sylvian1982, it’s been a while since I listened to Castalia, but I really loved it very much. Personally, I only prefer "Vapor Drawings," an earlier title released on Windham Hill. A personal opinion on O'Hearn regarding Supersoul's observation (and to balance it) is that while it may be amusing that his "pop-leaning" resembles Missing Persons, which was many years ago, it is also true that he has persevered in releasing absolutely interesting electronic works on several occasions ("Ancient Dreams," "So Flows The Current," "Slow Time," "Beautiful World," and the latest "Glaciation") where there is great refinement and elegance both in composition and execution. It’s a shame, however, that Isham, whom I consider an extraordinary and highly skilled musician, has lost sight of the more interesting horizons he explored in the past among his thousands of soundtracks and more or less significant collaborations. I saw him live on Sylvian's "Shaman Tour" in '88, and it was truly a great experience!

@Omaha: great advice, I believe, for Macaco. I fully agree. No, I don't know Mr. Eick. If you feel like it (and I imagine if you're asking me, you must have a good reason...), give me some details, even in private (so you can also tell me what you've been up to lately, to keep yourself so busy!). Warm regards. See you soon.

@Pi-Airot: I've asked myself the same thing, even though it's not the only case where an album has been titled with a name (not particularly outstanding, by the way!) that then doesn't even appear in the tracklist (unless you count a reissue 25 years later). I also take this opportunity to inform those interested that a "DeLuxe Edition" triple of this album has recently been released. I had it in my hands, but my impression, despite the tempting price (around 20 euros), is that there isn’t anything particularly unmissable or new. Perhaps for audiophiles, since it includes a version of the work in DVD audio 5.1 format, which naturally requires an appropriate player. It features all the extra bonuses from the aforementioned Sanctuary reissue a few years ago and a not particularly remarkable, at least it seems quite standard remastering to me. The only small thing that might pique some curiosity is the release of a version of the first impression of "Karn Evil 9" that is purely instrumental, without Lake's vocals. For my part, nothing else of relevance. Perhaps, for die-hard fans, a reprint (also from Sanctuary) in "Vinyl Replica" edition is more appealing, exactly the same as the 1973 vinyl version in terms of graphics, with a cardboard cover that opens from the center. It comes with an exact reproduction of the original inner poster with lyrics and photographs (properly scaled and resized).

Congratulations again, and for the language this time. Your contemptibility in writing is, I think, just a taste of your coarseness as an individual. Maybe stick your ridiculous and idiotic conclusions up the other orifice. Who knows, maybe you'll manage to have a real orgasm, genius of knowledge. It's just irony, after all.

@Trota-da-mare: Congratulations on your insight and your remarkable life experience. You really have understood everything.(.....). @Ludo: I expect you to respond in kind, provided it's worth it; it shouldn't be difficult for you, I suppose.

@Mariaelena: as you can see, darling, a "certain type of person" still finds a home in these lines, but there's no need to worry. Following the motto "Don't mind them, just look and move on," it's relatively simple to get past it, fortunately. In real life, it would be a bit more complex, but the Internet, as you know, is also this, luckily. I also didn’t mean to allude at all to your beautiful reviews in the post you mentioned, regarding "foolishness." It was just a way to downplay the value of what we write in the face of much more real and tragic events like the wars that stain the world. And, by the way, the topic was in turn referring to the "war" (as he defines it: post no. 125) between that guy who calls himself "The Avenger" and another debaser named C'è, who, by the way, writes quite sensible things, in my opinion, as far as I know. That said, darling, had I been able to come and shovel some snow at your place, I would have done it, if I hadn't had a similar problem myself around here along with other annoying "little issues." Maybe TWO universes of kisses in response to yours should be enough to warm you from the rigors of this icy winter, at least for a while. When you finish them, give me a shout, and I’ll send you another load. :))). Love.
